the reunion between abraham and blair made lorelei's heart ache. she was jealous. she wished her father would be that excited to see her.

another person had been added to lorelei's family, and she honestly wasn't that angry about it. blair was sweet, and sincere. she had an attitude- just like her father.

"lore," glenn sat on the couch beside her, arm draping over her shoulder. "there's another run today. figured you could tag along if you wanted to?"

lorelei's eyes lit up. she did need a break from the suffocating community. "okay," she smiled up at her friend.

she and glenn, and even maggie all grew close when rick's group showed up at the church. glenn felt like her father when her mother was still alive, and maggie was just.. she was literally a copy of eloise.

"okay, get ready, kid." he ruffled her hair, watching as she hopped off the couch and raced up the stairs.

in her room, lorelei found carl cozied up on her bed, nose in a comic book. she mumbled a "good morning," grabbing a fresh pair of jeans, as well as a light colored sweatshirt.

"good morning, lorelei." he smiled, sitting up in the bed. "what are your plans for the day?"

"glenn invited me to go on a run with him and the crew," she started to change out of her pajamas, taking a seat at the edge of the bed to slip her socks and shoes on.

"oh," he hummed, eyes squinting as he watched her. "just.. promise me you'll be safe?" he questioned, a hand running back through his hair.

"i will," she turned her head to look at him, admiring his pale skin. "what are your plans today?"

"to wait for you." he said as if it were the most normal thing in the entire world. "maybe take judith for a walk- even though she would lrefer it to be with you."

lorelei giggled, hopping up on her own to feet. "stay safe today, grimes. i'll be back before you know it." she headed to the door.

"i could only hope." he muttered, taking in just how bright the girl had gotten, given the opportunity to get away for a bit.

"see ya," she hummed, trotting down the hall, and stairs, meeting glenn where she left him on the couch.

"ready? maggie is checking your weapons out for you now." he stood, wiping his hands on the front of his pants.

"yes." the thought of having her axe back made her visibly excited. she didn't really enjoy using a gun as much, but she was a good shot. and of course, she had the little knife tucked away in her boot.

after the whole ron situation, a
deanna had tried to take the knife from her, but glenn and maggie fought for her to keep it because it was the only oiece of her mom she had left.

lorelei followed glenn out of the house, and down the street to the armory. tara, noah, eugene, aiden, and nicholas all waited. the fourteen year old immediately took her place beside maggie, accepting her axe and pistol.

"thank you." she tucked the gun in the back of her waist band, and allowed her fingers to tighten around the handle of the axe, the feeling foreign but familiar.

"of course, honey." maggie placed a hand on the girls shoulder, smiling a sweet smile to the girl.

"you're seriously bringing a kid?" aiden asked glenn, and nicholas scoffed.

"she can hold her own." glenn warned, narrowing his eyes at the brothers as lorelei gripped tighter at her axe. "now, how far out is this warehouse?"

"about an hour or so," nicholas replied, moving his hands to his hips, eyes thinning at lorelei, who sent a death glare tight back. "girl better not get in the way, or we'l leave her."
