carol and daryl had disappeared.

bob was taken, and half of his leg was eaten by the same terminus people carl had told lorelei about.

but, bob was bitten.

infected.

carl had told lorelei that when you die, you come back.

everyone has it.

whatever it is.

rick left with the others, leaving tyreese, a passed out bob, gabriel, eugene, rosita, and the kids.

everyone who stayed behind locked themselves in the office, while lorelei locked herself in the bathroom. there were too many people for her liking, and she wasn't sure exactly how she felt being stuck with someone who could turn within seconds.

it felt like years passed as she waited in the bathroom. her stomach was in her throat, just waiting for the bad men to show up. she was going to protect them, if she could. prove that her and her dad were good people.

before they left, rick had given her a pistol since she decided to be in her own room. she thanked him. she would use it.

that's when she heard it.

loud.. menacing footsteps.

"well, i guess you know we're here." he sighed. this had to have been gareth. "and we know you're here- and we're armed. so there's really no point in hiding anymore." lorelei placed her hand over the pistol in her waistband as she stood up, one hand gripping tightly onto her axe. "we've been watching you. we know who's here." lorelei sucked in a breath as he continued. "there's bob, unless you've put him out of his misery already. and eugene, rosita.. martin's good friend, tyreese!" the sarcasm in his boice made lorelei's skin crawl. "carl, judith. lorelei."

she glanced to the floor. what about her father? he was here too, right? there was no way he would have left.

"rick and the rest walked out with a lot of your guns." he paused for an answer, continuing when there was straight silence. "listen. we don't know where you all are, but this isn't a big place. so.. let's just stop this now before things get more painful than they need to be."

the silence was deafening. she didn't even dare to breathe. she was afraid it would be too loud.

"look, you're behind one of these two doors, and we have more than enough fire power to take down both. can't imagine that's what you all want." the sound of a gun cocking made lorelei's eyes squeeze shut. she braced herself. "how about the priest?" gareth asked, referring to her dad. "father, you help us wrap this up, we'll let you walk away from this."

she silently pleaded into the darkness, begging her dad was smart enough.

"just open the door, and you can go. you can take the baby, and your daughter with you.. what do you say?"

that's when judith started wailing. lorelei did not have the time to think this through. she drew her pistol with her free hand, took the safety off, and pointed it at the door.

"i'm in here!" she yelled at the top of her lungs.

"ooh.. lorelei? little rebellious priest's daughter? open the door." she heard his steps get closer.

"if i go with you, just me, will you leave them?" she asked, trying to keep her voice from breaking.

"we could work it out." gareth replied, "open the door."

she slowly reached out, unlocking and twisting the handle. she pushed it open, her gun still raised.

"she really is feisty. did you get it from your mommy? because there's no way in hell you got it from your daddy." he joked.
