"Zoey, why do you act as if your afraid of me?" Elijah asks with a raised eyebrow.

Zoey calmed down a bit as she felt herself relax and couldn't help but glance at Damon's temporary dead body beneath her feet.

"I'm sorry.... I just-"

"You were startled? I'm sorry it wasn't my intention to frighten you Zoey. Come with me I would like to explain what happened in the 90's,"

"Can't we just stay here and talk? Alot has changed since I last saw you,"

"You must be back with that Damon fellow the one who broke your heart? The way your acting screams it out loud,"

"Well..... I was willing to work with him,"

"Zoey he crushed your heart," he says stepping over Damon's body pinning her to the wall. "From what you told me you never wanted to be near or around him again, why go back to someone who broke you the first time?"

"Everyone deserves a second chance Elijah. And I want another one with Damon,"

"That's not a good enough reason, before you told me you no longer loved him that you were over him,"

"I was.... Until I returned here for Stefan's birthday and saw Damon again, he's been really trying Elijah, I know you had your mind and heart set on me, but my heart belongs to one person and it'll always be Damon Salvatore, he's hurt me in the past yes but after learning he meant nothing of what he said, that he still loves me, he still wants to be with me, it made my heart have hope again that we will be together again,"

"Is this your final answer? Did you feel anything for me at all the time we had together?" Elijah asks looking at her straight in the eyes.

"Yes it is my final answer, I'm choosing Damon, Elijah, and yes at one point I did feel the same way you felt for me, but you left,"

"Not by choice Zoey, I wouldn't have never done that to you..... It was my younger brother Klaus, he staked me with a white oak stake the only thing that stops an original, I've been down for quite sometime recently awoken and I immediately located where you were, I had people from all over spy on you waited till the right time to see you again, but now I hear your taking your ex back, I'm highly disappointed Zoey,"

"I'm sorry Elijah, really I am you and I will always have something special between each other, you helped me flip my switch, mended my heart back together, but it truly does lie with Damon,"

Elijah sighed closing his eyes his heart feeling pain. First Kathrine and now Zoey.

"I know you are Zoey, and that's why I'm sorry for doing this," he says before placing his lips on hers.

Zoey's eyes widened as she tried pushing Elijah off of her, not wanting this, but no matter what she couldn't push him off her. He was an original after all.

Once he pulled off of her she immediately slapped him in the face as hard as she could causing his head to turn as she panted hard and wiped her lips with the back of her other hand.

"ELIJAH! WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM?!" She yelled out with wide eyes.

Elijah looked back at her his hands immediately wrapped around her throat in a fit of rage.

Down below Damon Salvatore started to wake up looking at the scene before him. His girl was up against the wall with Elijah choking her out.

"E-Elijah," she said having a hard time speaking.

"Those who dare put their hands on me doesn't deserve to live," he says squeezing her wind pipe harder.

"Now this is the last chance I'm going to give you, forget about Damon, come with me or have your heart ripped from your chest right now,"

Damon having quietly vamp speeding up the stairs grabbing a wooden stick from upstairs came back downstairs.

"HEY DICK FACE!" He yells back causing him to drop her as she coughed to get air back into her lungs. "Get your filthy hands off my girl," He says menacingly before jabbing the stake through his stomach pushing him up against the wall with it.

Elijah looked over at Zoey just as grey veins began to overtake his body. Damon released the stick as his body fell to the ground and went over to Zoey.

"So that's Elijah?" Was the first thing he said as he pulled her up and placed the daylight ring back on her finger.

"He wasn't like that a few years ago, he was hurt because I chose you over him,"

"Wait you did?"

"We can talk about that later let's get Stefan and that other guy you guys were with, we don't have much time, sticks don't kill an original,"

"Okay, let's round them up and get to Stefan's car," he says causing her to nod her head as the two vamp speed upstairs.
