You need to wake up!
My eyes shoot open as I awake from my uncomfortable slumber. My surroundings were quite unfamiliar. I shoot up from my uncomfortable position and take in my surroundings. Nothing but orange trees. As I came to my senses, I began to worry. This place, this world. It was so... unfamiliar. Your surroundings seemed to be like a fairytale dream. The world was different.
I stand up and begin to take in my surroundings until I began to wander around the woods. I searched and searched through the woods trying to find anything human or anything that could leave me out of this labyrinth. That was until I heard it. Voices. Oh the sweet sound of voices unfamiliar to me. I quickly ran to the source, unknowing of what may lie ahead of me. The edge of the woods was in my grasp and I tugged on my strings to freedom all to be met by horrors beyond my comprehension.
I saw... people? Yeah, if people have razor-sharp teeth, or pointy ears, or horse bodies. These aren't people. These monsters were horrifying and I had no idea what they would do to me.
That was... until a girl found me.
I had a feeling I met her before and my suspicions were correct when she excitedly greeted me and hugged me tightly. "Y/N OMG ITS ME, LUZ NOCEDA, FROM SCHOOL! REMEMBER ME!?" she would scream excitedly earning unhappy groans from the passing creatures and dirty looks from others. Luz Noceda... Luz Noced-"OH YEAH I REMEMBER YOU!" I screamed excitedly with a grin. "YOU WERE THE GIRL IN MY BAND CLASS A FEW YEARS AGO, RIGHT? YOU PLAYED THE OBOE!?" I screamed excitedly. Band was my favorite elective in school and it is where most of my memories have been made. "Yeah, that was me!" Luz grinned awkwardly. "I forgot I ever tried band, didn't I get kicked out or something?" she asked questionably. "Yeah, you got kicked out for having a spider crawl out of your instrument while we were practicing Spider Dance from Undertale together, remember?" I remind her. We were huge Undertale nerds when she was in band so we got along great while playing the entire Undertale soundtrack. "Oh, crap I did didn't I?" she giggled even more. "You played the flute, right?" Luz asked quickly earning a small nod from me. "Still practice all our old music every day!" I say proudly. "I just wish I had my flute with me," I say looking down, "it would be so fun to play". "I KNOW WHAT TO DO!" Luz says loudly and she starts tugging on me while running down the street.
"EDA, WHERE ARE YOU???" Luz yells out like a maniac whilst still running around gripping my shirt as if letting go could make me disappear from reality.
That was until she stopped dead in her tracks.
Like, dead stop.
No movement whatsoever.
And me, being an idiot and not knowing how to use my body, decided to slam right into her.
Making her fall over on top of a figure in a white cloak.
...
I got up quickly and helped Luz get off the ground, blushing profusely from embarrassment. "I'M SO SORRY LUZ!" I burst out almost crying. I hate being embarrassed but this feels even worse because this is the first time you've seen Luz since she got kicked out of band. She kind of just disappeared after that to you. She dusted herself off before turning back to you. "No worries, Y/n, I'm fine this stuff happens."
After she reassured me that she was fine, I turned to the person that we had knocked over before. He was now standing up. Directly behind me. "Hello, are you okay?" I asked slowly turning around. He was a bit taller than me and wore a golden mask over his face. Luz pulled me away with an odd expression on her face quickly saying sorry to him before dragging me behind her once more.
"Why are you dragging me everywhere?!" I ask while we weave through all the creatures. "AND WHAT IS UP WITH HOW EVERYONE LOOKS?!?!" I scream out earning disgusted side eyes from anyone and everyone within a 10-foot radius of us. "We are going to find my mentor, Miss Eda. She is a powerful witch" she quickly explains to me. "WITCH?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN WITCH?!" I scream out, again, earning glances from everyone. "I'll explain to you later, just help me look for a lady in a red dress with big hair- oh, there she is," Luz says, dragging me towards the lady.
"Eda look who I found" Luz looks at the older lady, Eda, with a wide smile on her face. Eda looked over to Luz and then to me, her eyes widening as she further looked at me. "Another human?" Eda says with a worried but happy face. "Do you know her or something, kid" Eda looks towards Luz, smiling. "YES I DO" she screams excitedly. Eda examines me further and then looks back to Luz. "Well, I guess she needs a place to stay. Wanna come to The Owl House, kid? Eda asks me. I immediately take her up on her offer. I'm gonna need SOMEWHERE to stay. "Well then, let's go home. I'm starting to get looks and I am NOT going back to the conformitorium." Eda protests, pulling a wooden owl out of her hair and turning it into a long staff. "Get on you two, we'll get home pretty fast." we both jump on and quickly go on our way.
I can't believe all of this is happening.

I'M SO SORRY IF THIS SUCKS GUYS 😭😭😭 it's probably going to take me a while to update because I'm stupid and can't write so I am so sorry I'm trying to write when I want to so the book doesn't get boring and I'm also reading others fics so I can get a good idea on how to write this stuff 💀
