requested!!

"And you know what he said?" Carter asked leaning toward me. I smiled, anticipating what he was going to say next. "'Honestly, You-Know-Who is kind of attractive if you think about it.'" Carter said, pretending to barf. I laughed, smacking him on the shoulder. "It's not funny, it's traumatizing!" He groaned, "You seriously need to come put him back in line. He's scaring all of us."

I shook my head, my laughter still present. "I'd rather not. Sure, his actions have been concerning, but you can't deny that they're hilarious." I said. My breathing was starting to get heavier with each breath, caused by the five minutes I'd been here with Carter.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever." He rolled his eyes playfully, "But, have you heard that new kid has his eyes on you?" He grinned.

My eyes darted at the information I was just told. "Tarquin Richmond?" I asked.

Carter nodded, clearly amused.

There were many rumors about Tarquin flowing around the school. From what I heard from Pansy, he was a half-blood and his mother was a trusted Ministry of Magic official. She didn't know what department of the Ministry his mother worked in, but she was determined to find out. Theo had grumpily stated that he disliked Tarquin, but to be fair, Theo dislikes more than half the school. "So? Are you gonna let him court you?" Carter asked, his eyes filled with curiosity.

"I need to get to know him to decide."

"Well, I heard he was rich."

"Of course you're focused on that."

My conversation with Carter continued, until I heard someone yell down the corridor. I couldn't clearly make out what they were saying or who they were. Carter looked in the same direction I was looking, he squinted his eyes trying to make out who the person was. I looked at Carter, and Carter looked at me.  His eyes flickered with confusion. Mine mirrored the same expression. We both looked toward the direction we were looking at prior.

I heard multiple footsteps coming from that direction. "Shay!" A voice shouted. The voice sounded familiar to me. I attempted to try and find a distinctive trait from the one of those people, until I finally noticed one. Out in the distance I spotted short, jet black hair.

Pansy.

She never came unacquainted, so I assumed she was with the other Slytherin boys. As it turns out, I was correct. Draco, Mattheo, Tom, Lorenzo, Blaise, and Theodore were all at her side. I smiled as Pansy came running towards me, wrapping me in an embrace. When she pulled away, she began to speak. "I found more information about Richmond." She grinned, her hands on my shoulders.

"He's not anything special, believe me." Theo scoffed, earning a eye-roll from Pansy.
