I searched Shubman and Rahul and the amount of "beef rumours" these guys have made me laugh 😂
The beef was when Shubman was selected over Rahul when Rahul was not in a good form. Anyway this story is based on this world cup. Hope you enjoy ❤️

India vs Srilanka
2nd November, World Cup 2023

India had scored a humongous total batting first. They were not that worried about winning. Because it seemed like the bowlers have something against srilanka in particular. On a particular ball when Shami was bowling to chameera, it seemed like a wide. Rahul on the other hand was sure the ball had touched the gloves. He was confident and asked Rohit to take drs straight away. Shami wasn't that confident but since Rahul was closer to the bowler, Rohit listened to him and took a review. Shubman looked at Rahul with those star struck eyes, the same eyes he look Virat with. He admired how sure he was of his decision. When the review came in and chameera was given out, Rahul looked at Shami smiling widely ( The cutest moment it was I swear 😭❤️)
Shubman was even more star struck at that accurate review, he even knew it had touched the gloves.

"How did you know it had touched the gloves specifically?" Shubman asked after the match
"Well, I heard the sound. It didn't seem like the sound of a bat at all"
Rahul replied wondering why he was so curious about that review all of a sudden.
"It's so impressive " Shubman said giving him that look. Rahul looked at him a bit weirded out because, no one has ever given him that look. It's mostly for Virat and Rohit. Not him. Even then he felt nice.
"I'm a wicketkeeper, it's not that impressive if you think about it "
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN? IT IS PRETTY IMPRESSIVE " Shubman said shouting which caught Virat's and everyone's attention
"What's impressive Shub?" Virat asked
"Rahul bhai's wicketkeeping skills " Shubman replied smiling
"Well that surely is impressive but why are you looking at him like you look at me?"
Rahul facepalmed , Virat was going to have a word with him and it didn't seem good
"What do you mean bhai? He's good isn't he? He's also a good batsman along with a good wicketkeeper. How amazing is that?" Shubman said still oblivious of the fact that Virat was now glaring holes in a certain Rahul's face.
"Thanks for the compliments Shub" Rahul said awkwardly, trying to avoid virat's gaze.
Rohit being a bit sensible, took Virat out and everyone left for some reason or the other
"Now virat's angry at me too" Rahul said laughing
"Why would he be? You're his favourite"
"You're his kiddo, and he thinks I'm stealing you"
"You're not, I just admire you that's all and you're like my brother too"
"Seems like, you're going to be my first kid" Rahul said smiling and ruffling the younger boy's hairs
"What about me? I'm just two years older than him" Ishan whined
"You want to be my kid too?" Rahul asked in confusion
"Ofcourse, we're both so similar. Wicketkeeper batsmen. I can learn so much from you bhaiya" The eyes Ishan gave him were not completely innocent like Shubman's, they held mischieve too. But one thing was common, ADMIRATION.

Agghhh that's it for the chapter. I wanted to write something happy, since writing about the loss is not something I can bring myself to do. They're super cute honestly, specially Shubman's reaction when Rahul got the best fielder award was gold. And ofcourse Shubman ho and I don't add ishan, that's not possible 😂❤️😭
