Beep, beep, beep.

What the hell is that sound?

The last time I checked I was not in the hospital.

I looked around and saw my usual messy room, my comfy bed, my carpeted floors, my wooden night stand, my pastel pink ceiling and don't forget my mess of books and assignments given to me by the university.

I got up from the floor and wiped my hand across my face. I rubbed my sprained back and my neck.

Serves me right for sleeping on the floor.

Beep, beep, beep.

Where the hell is that sound coming from?

I grew more and more annoyed by the sound.

I looked out my window pane and saw the cars driving by my window, was the sound coming from out here?

Beep, beep , beep.

I looked down which seemed like where the sound was coming from. It was like playing marco, pollo.

I sighed in frustration.

Beep, beep, beep.

I looked at my alarm clock, it wasn't buzzing. So where the hell would the noise come from? The fire alarm? The TV? MY LAPTOP!

I looked down to see my laptop beeping like crazy, I ran towards and checked the time, 2.00 AM. I opened the program which had alert.

I gasped in shock the moment I took a look at the screen.

Oh my gosh.

Wolf trap 7 that I had set up in the forest next to this town, it caught something. I made the sign of the cross and prayed that it wasn't false alarm. This was a big achievment for me, ever since the university had assigned me to wolf genetics.

I was more than overjoyed to take up the offer, because my parents never got to finish their report on wolves. So I intended to finish it for them!

I quickly grabbed my car keys and drove off to the forest like a mad man.

I drifted through the street, trying my best to get there as quick as possible.

I tried to keep my heart beat steady in the process.

I stopped at the border of the forest, grabbing my shotgun out of the back seat, and yes I do have a license. After grabbing my car keys and shoving it into my pocket. I began running towards the wolf trap 7 avoiding the other wolf traps I had set up, it was no problem finding my way in and out because I knew this place like the back of my hand.

After running through the forest, I saw my trap. Only one thing went through my mind when I first saw it.

Oh my gosh. It's too big to be a wolf, how is that even genetically possible?

I walked towards it, cautiously. My heart started pounding. Perspiration rolled off my temples. My palms were wet too.

I stared into its bright yellow eyes through the cage. Amazed at the sight of its chocolate brown fur glistening through the moonlight.

It's so beautiful!

I placed my hand over my mouth and let out a mixture of what sounded like a gasp and a laugh. I was confused whether to be proud of my achievement or scared by the fact it could eat me alive with just one bite.

Oh no.

It began howling, it was clearly in distress. The wolf was probably calling its other friends to save it.
