"Jen! Wake up, Jen!" I slowly opened my eyes, immediately being struck by a bright ray of sunlight. I had slept the whole night in the forest!

I rose up from the moist soil and sat up, leaning my back against the cold bars of the cage, pushing my brown hair back. I looked up to see a pair of blue eyes staring at me.

My eyes widened in shock at the closeness of our faces. I began kicking my self backwards trying to move away, but I was stuck at a dead end remembering the cage behind me. He let out a chuckle showing his white teeth. I looked up at his face again and scanned it; blonde hair, pale blue eyes and a chiselled structure. My one and only friend who had the looks of male model, Gale.

I let out a sigh of relief and grinned ever so slightly.

"Gale! I'm glad you're here!" I said slowly getting up and brushing the dirt off my butt.

He laughed, "Glad to be here!" Then, touching the tip of my nose with his warm fingers.

He looked behind and was immediately horrified by the sight of the wolf behind me. His let out a shocked gasp as he took a step back from the cage. He visibly gulped as sweet rolled down his forehead.

"Oh my..." He said speechless as all the colour drained from his face.

"I know, apparently it must be the alpha of its pack" Looking at the wolf that saved my life, last night.

"Are you s..sure" he said said stuttering nervously.

We heard a loud menacing growl and immediately whipped our heads back.We looked at the cage and saw the wolf growling and baring its teeth at Isaac.

"Maybe we should let it go." He said giving me a genuine worried face. Eyeing the wolf once in a while.

"WHAT NO! It took me quite a while to catch it! I'm not letting it go!" I screamed furiously. As I felt my face burning in rage, digging my nails into the heels of my palm.

His eyes widened, he looked terrified as he looked at my eyes.

"Y-your eyes!" He said utterly shocked, taking a step back.

I looked at him confused, was I giving him the stink eye? I calmed myself down.

I let out a sigh, "I'm sorry I shouldn't have shouted at you like that."

He shook his head.

"Nope, it's fine" he said giving me a fake smile.

"Come on, let's load him on the truck." I said choking back a giggle. Playfully, shoving Gale causing the wolf to growl even more.

He hesitated for a bit but he still helped out.

Gale had been one of my good buddies during university, we always looked out for each other as we both were the youngest their, being at the early age of 15 years that time. So he too was a prodigy like me.

The atmosphere grew tense as the wolf began eyeing my every move. My shoulders grew stiff as Gale and I began lifting the surprsingly light cage.

Suddenly Isaac stopped in his tracks looking at the wolf in pure fear. He looked as if he were day dreaming.

"Earth to Gale!" I said, sarcastically waving my hands in front of his face.

He chuckled nervously, and we slowly walked into the front seats of the pick up truck. I slumped into my seat and put on my seat belt buckle. I slowly looked into the back window and saw the wolf already getting comfy by slowly settling down on its belly and used its fluffy paws as pillows. Gale got into the driver's seat and after buckling his seat belt, he began to drive us to our science lab.
