I looked at Gale in confusion. My expression turned from fright to glee.
"Why are you frowning? This is great! Now we don't have to figure out a way to get it out of its cage!" I cheerfully said staring at the wolf in awe.
I looked over to Gale, he's face was completely pale he looked as if he was about to pass out. Needless to say, he did.
I quickly caught him by his hands before he could fully hit his head on the floor. I let out a huge sigh of relief. His eyes were half opened by his pupils were no where to be seen. In one swift action, I pulled him up and holding him in a hugging position.
I settled him down on a chair, struggling under his weight. His lifeless body began slumping on the chair as I rolled me eyes.
I slowly walked over to the window of the room, looking through the bars. I saw the wolf kicking and I heard it let out slight whimpers as it was still unconscious.
A wave of guilt surged through my whole body. This was the only sad part about my job as much I love my job, there would always be a downside to it, am I right?
1 theory: Murphy's law
I walked over to Gale and gently caressing his blonde hair. After that, I exited the lab to get ourselves lunch.
Upon returning from my trip to McDonald's. I froze in shock. I dropped everything. Including my milkshakes I had bought which was now on the floor looking like bile.
My heart stopped pounding. My breath felt shaky.
There were 2 wolves in my lab. One was Dark brown with yellow eyes and the other was blonde with blue eyes. I bit back a scream.
All the colour from my face drained as my hands began to shake. I slowly backed away before my legs paralysed into pure fear.
The wolves looked at each other dead in the eye, growling. The blonde wolf is challenging the alpha!
I was too late, fear took over my whole body and I just collapsed. Still fully conscious, but my arms and legs to weak to do anything, I laid on the floor motionless.
Their eyes averted to me as shivers ran down my spine. The blonde wolf stalked towards me, whimpering.
"S-stay back!" I scream weakly.
It came closer and its nose nudged my arm slightly, as if it were checking if I was okay.
Suddenly, a load growl caught our attention. I heard footsteps, a lot of footsteps getting louder and louder each time.
The blonde wolf averted its gaze to the door, I saw terror in its blue eyes as it looked at the door speechless.
I flipped my body weakly, my stomach now facing the ground. I tried crawling my to the door.
"H-help!" I screamed at them reaching my hands out at the door desperately.
The other scientists looked at me horrified by what was happening. Some began violently scratching and hitting my bullet proof automatic door and some stared in awe.
They tried but they couldn't open the door without a password. I suddenly saw the police rush towards my door trying to get it open.
My eyes welled up with tears as I felt something tugging at my pants. I screamed pathetically.
"HELP! PLEASE HELP!" I began nails clung onto the white tile as I tried to resist the pull.
"GALE HELP!" I pathetically screamed once more.
Suddenly, the wolf in the cage began howling, followed by a loud sound of glass breaking. Bits and pieces of glasses slashed my arms as I held it up protect my eyes.
A couple of women and men ran into the room as they tranquilized the blonde wolf.
"Don't take the brown wolf that's mine!" I told them as they helped me up. I couldn't move, I was still in shock.
They nodded and took away the blonde wolf and sending me to the hospital.
1 day later.
I was released from the hospital as the doctors said that they had not found any cuts or injuries on me, though they allowed me to stay their for a day just to make sure.
I took a bus back to the science Center, everyone greeted me in glee, saying they were glad to see me. All I just did was smile and walk in my broken lab.
I slowly walked in checking it out, there were workers there repairing the damages that were made by the blonde wolf. I walked over to my desk and saw my parents photo on the ground shattered.
I picked it up, brushing away the pieces of glass on it. I let out a sigh.
"I'm sorry." I muttered as I touched the piece of exposed paper. I slowly settled the photo gram back onto my desk.
I cautiously looked at my desk, my eyes narrowed at the scratch marks on it. Where did it come from? Was all I could think of.
"Let's begin working!" I said as I began furiously typing in my black laptop about the blonde and brown wolf.
Hours ands days passed by like seconds and minutes, I hadn't retune to my cosy apartment from days. My lab was repaired. I had fed the brown wolf for several days on a strict diet of raw meat.
The absence of Gale put me under a lot of stress, I've been posting photos and calling his family asking whether he had returned but still no answer.
My eyes began tearing up at the thought of him being eaten by the wolf.
But I just shook the thought away, Gale's stronger than that. I'm stronger than that.
I stopped typing noticing that the wolf had been silent for the past few hours, at first I thought it was sleeping, but now this is outrageous.
I glanced over at the cage lowering my reading glasses. I got up from my chair and stretched myself.
I walked over to the cage cautiously, not hearing any noise from it, making me worry. I stopped dead in my tracks the moment I peered my head over the windows.
I looked at in awe and confusion.
What the hell is going on?
The stress got the better of me as I tried finding answers on why it was so big or where the blonde wolf come from, and most important where the hell was Gale?
My eyes widened, I felt a surge of anger hit me like a wave.
"What is going on?!" I screamed furiously and confused as I punched the window, waking it. Or should I say him.
