Chapter #2 What A Wicked Game

BANG! "I need a doctor!" Viktor screams in a panic as he slams through the hospital doors. A couple of nurses surrounded Viktor, staring at the seemingly lifeless angel in his arms. "Did you do this?" one of the nurses shouts. "No! I would never!" Viktor exclaims. "You're such a lair! That is obviously a wound only a demon can make!" Another nurse retaliates. The nurses take Ace away to help him as security kicks Viktor out. Viktor leans on the wall outside, then slides down, sitting on the ground, resting his head between his knees He's hugging to his chest, "He better be okay," Viktor mumbles to himself.
Hours pass, and Viktor starts to get impatient. Then Viktor walks into the hospital. "Sir, you can't be in here," A nurse protests, "demons aren't welcome here." Viktor ignores her and walks up to the front desk. Viktor looked the young girl in the eyes. "The blue-haired angel," Viktor shakily asked, "is he okay?" "I can check for you." Viktor lets out a sigh of relief. As the girl is typing on her keyboard, Viktor notices her name tag says her name is April. "Alright, he was transferred to HallowCall Medical about two hours ago." April informed, "I brought him here because I thought that you did curse removal." Viktor complained, "HallowCall is the worst place you could have ever sent him." "why is that." "Do you seriously not know who he is?" "No, is he super important or something?" "His name is Ace, Ace Valintino." April gasps in disbelief. "Valintino, like the royal family Valintino!?" "Yes." "But I thought they only had a daughter?" "Ace was accused of murder and treason, but since he didn't actually commit any crimes, he kept his wings and halo, and his abilities were condensed into his nunchucks and scythe." "Wow." April responded, " How did his family not realize he was innocent?" "Ace doesn't know, but his father was the one who framed and banished him because he was jealous of his strong abilities and his looks," Viktor stated, "he couldn't have anyone threaten his position as the strongest angel, not even his own son." "So why is it bad that Ace is going to the number one angel hospital?" "because his father owns all of HallowCall, he is the head surgeon at HallowCall Medical." Viktor informs, "Luckily, he doesn't perform curse removal, and nobody will recognize Ace." "How are you, A high-level demon, going to get into the largest city in the angel realm?" "I'll figure it out."
Ace arrives at HallowCall Medical in terrible condition. He had lost way too much blood. He had a sprained wrist, a fracture in his spine, and several broken ribs along with a gaping hole in his back. Ace suffered through many pointless hours of surgery and curse removal, but the curse from Connie's blade was too strong. Ace flatlined after countless attempts to save him so the hospital staff left him in the morgue. After a while, Ace sits up. "Where am I," Ace asks himself out of confusion. Ace stands up and catches a glimpse of himself in a mirror. "No, no, no, no!" Ace panics. He has tall horns and sharp fang-like teeth, his wings are now solid black, his halo is a deep red, and his eyes are like little bright red crystals. He can sense every angel within a mile radius. He falls to the ground, holding his head in pain. A nurse walks in due to all the noise and screams at the sight of a demon. Several people ran to the screaming woman to see what happened. They stop and stare in awe at their deceased patient, who is now alive and a demon. Ace does his best to compose himself as he looks up at the crowd. "what are you staring at!?" Ace snaped. "That came out a lot more aggressive than I intended," he shyly murmured. Ace stretched his sore body. "can someone please tell me where I am?" "H-how are you standing?" a doctor asks. "with my legs," Ace replies. "You had no pulse for over an hour!" another doctor exclaimed. "oh, that's what you mean," Ace realized. "I think it's the same curse that turned me into a demon." A man with the same features and royal blue hair as Ace walks in. "What is going on here?" "Dad!?" Ace exclaimed. The man looks at Ace in utter shock. "Peat, why did he call you dad?" one of the doctors asks. Ace ran to hug Peat but was pushed away. "this boy has not been my son for many years." Peat answers. "But Dad, when I was banished, I kept my angel attributes because I was framed!" "If you kept your angel attributes, why are you a demon?" "Because I dated this girl, and then she turned out to be a shapeshifting demon, and she stabbed me with her cursed blade!" Peat realizes he's out of ways to push Ace away. "so we've been apart all of this time because of a silly mistake?" "Yes!" Peat hugs Ace. "Let's find a way to break this curse, kiddo." "Wait, my friend Viktor is probably worried sick!" Ace worries, "I need to find him." "Then let's go find your friend."
Peat walked Ace to his car and drove out to a cliff with a fantastic view. "why are we at a lookout spot? We are supposed to be looking for Viktor," Ace questioned. "I wanted to show you something first," Peat leads Ace to the cliff's edge, staying behind him. Peat lunges to stab Ace with a blessed dagger, but he catches Peat's hand. Ace starts to laugh maniacly as he summons his double-sided scythe. Ace twists Peat's wrist, stealing the dagger and throwing it off the cliff. He then grabs his father by the collar. "Do you really think I'm that naive!?" Ace yells, the crazy in his eyes pronounced, "I'm not naive anymore, not after Amber." Ace's eyes widen. "you are the one who framed me, aren't you?" Peat stays silent. "ARENT YOU?!" Ace screams, shaking Peat violently. "Oh, now you want to shut your mouth," Ace complains. "I guess I beat you at your own wicked game." Ace throws Peat off the cliff and then swoops down and slices him in two. Ace flies away, but he crash lands, gripping his head "The voices, they're too loud!" Ace whined, "I n-need to f-find V-vikt-" Ace passed out in the middle of nowhere, alone.
