The night was subtle when Lucas and Sarah stepped out of the Hotel. The Press lined the entrance of the hotel, when they stepped out. A Rolls Royce stood there waiting in all its glory, the driver in full uniform stood with the door open. Sarah dressed in the   Red Valentino dress that her mother sent over, with a white mink fur spread over her arms. Her hair up with a space for a tiara wanting, to fill it with its splendour. Sarah’s make up looked like nothing, but professional. Lucas stood next to her dazed by the lights that were being flashed in his face.  The couple looked perfect. As Lucas took her hand, to take her down the steps to the car they both filled with pride. Lucas proud to have a princess on his arm, and Sarah to have the prince of her heart holding her hand.

“Your Royal Highness, is this your new boyfriend? How long have you known each other? How will the Queen feel tonight about meeting him?”

Sarah heard the last question being shouted from a reporter. “What?” Sarah shouted in her head. What about the Queen? Why is she meeting Lucas tonight? Sarah continued to walk down the steps with Lucas, ignoring the questions. They entered the car and Sarah just wanted to get away from the crowd. The chauffeur closed the door and hurried to the driver’s seat. They sped away from the curb, leaving the press and the hotel behind them.

“I am sorry Lucas.” Sarah said with a week smile.

“Please don’t worry; I am happy just to be here with you.” Lucas leaned into kiss her. She looked amazing, to him. A real Princess and she loved him. “What were they talking about the Queen?”

Sarah face turned to worry. “I have no idea. My mother must of done something, but its fine.” Sarah reassured him and herself.

As they came to the end of the journey Sarah could see that there were police and security lining the streets from where they were going. “Where are we Lucas?”

“It looks like we are going to the Palace.” Lucas’s eyes were wide open, when he looked over to Sarah.

Then they saw it. “The Palace De Monte” The six storey Palace stood them before them. It was lit up like a Christmas tree. Hundreds of expensive sate, and royal cars lined the drive waiting their turn to drive to the open waiting double doors, to deposit there Royal Highness and Diplomats.

Soon it became their turn. The Bentley in front of them slowed down, and low and behold Sarah’s aunt departed from her car. “Why is she here?” Sarah said in her head. “What in the hell is this.”  The Bentley moved into drive, and slowly left so the Rolls Royce could take its place.

“Brace yourself, we are about to enter the Dragons Den.” Sarah smiled and held Lucas’s hand, for his and her support. The Chauffeur climbed out of his cockpit and opened the doors for Sarah and Lucas to depart and join the party. Sarah single foot emerged from the car first, the elegances of her departure was as if it was well rehearsed. She wrapped her mink around her shoulders tighter as her whole body left the car. Lucas departed with-in split seconds after her, still with their hands holding tightly to one another’s.

“Sarah!” The Countess called her over. The Countess De Ferro Leone was fat Italian noble woman. She was Anne’s younger sister, thus making her Sarah’s Aunt. Sarah and Lucas made their way over to her.

“Countess” Sarah hugged and kissed her Aunt, nothing personal. Everything seemed very formal to Lucas. “How are you? How come you’re here? Why are we here? Mother had told me nothing.”

The Countesses looked shocked that Sarah didn’t know, what was happening. “Darling it is the Queen of The Netherlands Gala Ball tonight. All important Royal’s from all over Europe are here tonight.” Sarah’s jaw dropped. Why wasn’t she told what was happening? Ahh I know why.

“Has my mother arrived yet?” Sarah questioned her aunt.

“No child. Don’t be silly, you mother will want her grand entrance as always.” The Countess placed her back up and her noise shot up in the air. “Oh. What a stuck up bitch.” Sarah shouted in her head.

“Well I am going to make my grand entrance now. Is everyone in there?” Sarah said looking into the Palace   “Yes I believe so.” Sarah took Lucas by the hand and walked in.

They could see the huge amount of Royals and Diplomats from the Gallery upstairs. The Italian Princess and Prince of Naples were making their way down the Grand Staircase. Sarah spoke to the DJ and sorted out her and Lucas’s grand entrance. They were given the wink and they took poisons’.

The trumpets sounded, and everyone stopped and looked up to the Staircase. Silence came over the entire and the announcer cleared his throat.

“May I introduce. Her Royal Highness, Lady Sarah Leone De Medici, Countess of Torrigmaggore and Duchess of Florence. Princess of Italy and Granddaughter of Queen Milkolina of Italy. Companied by Lucas Jansen.”  Once announced “Say it Right” by Nelly Furtado made its way to the speakers as they walked down the red carpet stairs. Everyone’s eyes were on the couple. The eligible royal bachelor’s heads turned as Sarah came down the stairs. Their jaw’s dropped on how she looked. The Red dress was a killer to everyone’s eyes.

They came down the stairs and Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands. She opened her arms to Sarah. Kissed each other on both cheeks and bowed.

“You’re Royal Highness.” Sarah bowed to the Queen. Beatrix smiled and took hold of both of Sarah’s Hands.

“My Darling. A Royal Highness should never bow to anyone. Even to a Queen.” Beatrix smiled at hugged Sarah again. “Especially when they will be a Queen one day themselves.” Winking at the Princess. “And who is this handsome young man?” The Queen smiled at Lucas. Lucas bowed low, muttering, “You’re Majesty.”

“This you’re Highness is Lucas Jansen. Hope to be someday a man of Italy and not of The Netherlands.”

“Ahh Princess we cannot having you stealing my people.” The Queen said smiling at Lucas.

“Then your people should not steal my heart.” Sarah said with a smile and a wink. Taking Lucas by the hand.

“My dear I have seen the newspapers this afternoon, let’s hope your grandmother doesn’t, but by the look of her this minute, I would say she has.” Beatrix nodded to Queen Mikolina of Italy, who had just arrived

Sarah and Beatrix nodded to each other, reading each other’s mind. Sarah and Lucas bowed and started to walk to over to the Queen of Italy. “You think your Queen is nice, wait till u meet mine.” Sarah whispered to Lucas. Both laughing, Sarah found herself in front of her grandmother.

“You’re Royal Highness.”  They muttered to Queen Mikolina, whose face was not full of smiles and laughter.
