Y/N POV +18

I stared out the window thinking about what Robin could be doing right now,he'll probably still be passed out by this time.He'll only be awake unless he would drop me off

"So your dad really kicked out Robin huh" Finney spoke,i hummed as a response "I didn't know he did that y/n,I mean I know he drank but.."

"It's okay fin,it happened and he can't go back" I said.he nodded before parking in the lot

"Well let's go make some money" he said as he unbuckled his seatbelt,i sighed before stepping out the car

We walked in,clocked in then went to the registers that were assigned to us.The day started off slow so there were times finney and I just had a conversation to past time

"If you want,you can come over and spend time with Gwen or we can come over to you.Gwen misses you" Finney suggested

I chuckled "thanks fin.I appreciate it" he smiled before looking at a customer that was coming to his register

TIME SKIP

"Have a good night" finney says to our boss before we left the market,i slid my hands into my pockets since it was chilly

"Hey,want to grab a bite before I take you home" fin spoke up,I raised my eyebrows

"I don't see why not" I responded,he nodded as he opened the passenger door for me.i got in before he closed the door then making it to his side of the car

Finney and I started having conversations literally about anything,that's the thing with talking to finney.he doesn't judge or he doesn't mind about the topic

It takes him a while to open up but eventually he becomes the best person to talk to,we made it to the regular diner that basically everyone goes to.

We walked in after getting out the car,we got sat down as I sat across from finney.

"So besides the stuff with robin,what else has been going on with you" he said while rubbing his hands together on the table

"Nothing really,ash is starting to listen to me more and she's not skipping classes for now" I said,he nodded

"That's good,I hope ash really grows her mindset.remember when you guys used to force me to skip class" he says grinning

I giggled "yeah and your ass didn't want to so Robin dragged you by your neck" we laughed

We continue to bring up memories back in high school or even middle school,we were always group and always together.Everyone knew that Robin and Finney were basically brothers

They wouldn't dare to make fun of Finney cause of Robin,Vance would help out here and there but there were times where he was stubborn and selfish.

"I kinda feel like me and Robin kinda drifted apart" he says as his smile slowly fades,I looked at him in awe "he just seems closer with hopper"

"Yeah I know but it's cause they've been locked up together for years fin,that's kinda hard to let go.They're just celebrating life together" I explained

He let out a sigh before nodding,our food then came around and we will go quiet to enjoy eating. "Is it good?" He asked

I look up giving him a face "nah I'm eating it just because" I joked,he sucked his teeth

"Alright now,don't be smart" he said giving me a side eye,I laughed causing him to laugh along.

I enjoyed finney's company,it kinda distracted from Robin and I guess that's what I needed.just a laugh for me to enjoy myself
