THE BRUNETTE girl softly sauntered happily into her home's kitchen, in hopes to find something edible to stop the consistent growling coming from her stomach. She groaned as she opened her refrigerator to discover that it was empty except for milk and stick butter. Who, in all honesty, keeps only milk and butter in their refrigerator. Well, apparently she does.

She heard a ruffling sound coming from the front of the house and tried to close the fridge door quietly, but cringed when it slammed. With a frown, she looked carefully through the curtains and saw that her closest friends, Stiles Stilinski and Scott McCall, were scrounging around her porch, attempting to find the key she had previously mentioned in case of an emergency.

She unlocked the chain and locks on the door before opening it, alerting the two of her presence. "Care to enlighten me on the random visit?" Ariella asked, half-fakely grinning, mockingly sweet at the two. She was always happy to see the two, but not in the middle of the night before the first day back at school. "We got to go!" Stiles said loudly causing the girl to put her hand over his mouth, gesturing to the room beside them which resided her older brother, who was peacefully sleeping.

"Erm, why?" Ariella asked, feeling the chill on her skin as she removed her hand from the boy's mouth and wrapped her jacket tightly around her body. "There's a dead body... in the woods, I overheard on my dad's radio. Well, half a dead body." Speaking more softly this time, Stiles cast his gaze over to the brunette, hoping she would join them on their adventure.

Ariella began, "I don't know Stiles," then turned to face the silent boy who stood next to Siles and gave her a pleading look. "Ari, please, do not make me do this alone with him." Scott spoke and Ariella sighed with a nod of her head making Stiles jump up in excitement. "Calm down there, let me put on some real clothes real quick," Ariella spoke gesturing down to her crop top and pink pajama shorts, which was paired with a jacket.

Stiles and Scott nodded, waiting patiently for the girl while she threw on some sweatpants and a hoodie that she had once stolen from Scott. She grabbed her keys of the key holder, before locking the door and following her best friends into Stiles' jeep.

"Can we get food after this?" Ariella asked as they all piled out of the Jeep and began walking towards the woods. "You don't have any food in your house?" Stiles asked, looking at the girl in surprise. She snorted, "If you count butter and milk as food," as the two laughed at her, she simply gave them a hopeful look in return. "Fine, yes Ari, we can get food." Stiles said, and this time, it was Ari who leaped with delight as they ducked beneath the 'Beacon Hills Preserve, No Entry After Dark' placard.

"We're seriously doing this?" With hesitation, Scott enquired. "You're the one always bitching that nothing ever happens in this town." Stiles spoke patting his friend lightly on the back. "I was trying to get a good night's sleep before practice tomorrow." Scott said as he caught up to his two best friends who had already begun walking.

"Right, cause sitting on the bench is such a grueling effort." Ariella slapped Stiles' arm in response to his sneer. "You never know Stiles, a miracle could happen." She said, giving Scott a reassuring smile, then paid attention to where she was walking. "I'm playing this year. In fact, I'm making first line." Scott said confidentially.

"Hey, that's the spirit! Everyone should have a dream, even a pathetically unrealistic one." Stiles spoke, crushing Scott's hopes just a little bit before they changed the subject. "Just out of curiosity, which half of the body are we looking for?" Stiles paused to consider Scott's question for a moment before continuing walking. "Huh, I didn't even think about that."
