Obi-Wan was going over reports from the front. It always seemed like the stack of holopads was getting higher with no end in sight. Such is his life now as High General of the Third Systems Army and the 212th Battalion.
A knock on his door reveals Cody with more holopads. "Sorry General." He at least has the decency to look sheepish. Obi-Wan sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose. "It's alright, Cody. I know this is part of the job."
Cody grabs a seat and begins going through the finished holopads, adding his signature to the reports to acknowledge that he read them. The two men work in companionable silence.
As they reach a stopping point to take a break, Obi-Wan remembers Eryn and the funeral. "Cody, I will not be back to finish the rest of the reports until the evening. There is a funeral for a fallen Jedi from an outer rim outpost. A small battalion of battle droids had been dispatched to take it over, but were repelled. Unfortunately, Master Mavok did not make it."
Cody looks solemn. "I'm sorry, General. I know it's hard to lose a fellow Jedi. I can finish the reports for you, if you'd like." Obi-Wan could feel remorse from Cody in the force. If anyone knew what the loss of a fallen brethren was like, it was Cody.
"There is a Jedi who accompanied the body, the previous padawan of Master Mavok named Eryn. She is a Wayseeker. She'll be around the temple for a short time." Cody nodded when his comm went off. He read the message from Rex to meet him for lunch.
"I'll be back after lunch to finish the reports. Do you want me to leave the ones you haven't reviewed?" Obi-Wan nodded and decided to make himself a cup of tea as Cody left.

Eryn could not seem to get out of the senate building fast enough. She was not paying attention to where she was going, and smacked into a clone trooper. She falls on her ass and sees a clone with shaved blond hair, holding a helmet with jaig eyes and tally marks on it."Excuse me trooper, I apologize for running into you." His companions chuckle when he reaches out to help her up. "It's Captain, actually."
Eryn's face warms up in embarrassment. "Apologies, Captain. My mind is elsewhere." She starts to walk away, when the clone Captain catches her attention. He is holding one of her lightsabers out to her. She looks down briefly to check the other one, seeing it still there.
Eryn tries to make a joke. "I swear, if my head wasn't attached to my body…" She takes the lightsaber from his hand, and latches it onto her belt again. "No worries, Master Jedi, if you knew how many times I've had to pick up General Skywalker's lightsaber, you'd find it funny."
She looks up at the clone, taking a closer look when he says Anakin's name. "Oh, are you one of Anakin Skywalker's commanders?" The Captain nods, and sticks out his hand. "The name's Rex. I'm Captain of the 501st." Eryn shakes his hand.
He points to his companions. "These two in blue are Arc Trooper Fives and Jesse of the 501st, and this is Marshall Commander Cody of the 212th." Cody reaches his hand out to shake her hand while Fives and Jesse salute her.
"I am Wayseeker Eryn." Cody pulls back and addresses her. "Ma'am, General Kenobi had just told me about you, I'm glad to make your acquaintance." Eryn is surprised to hear that Obi-Wan has already spoken to his commander about her. She bows her head in acknowledgement.
"Thank you, Commander Cody. It is good to put faces to names I've heard about in the outer rim. If you don't mind, what time is it?" Fives is at the ready with a grin. "It is a quarter past two, Master Jedi." She giggles as she takes a look at him, seeing a 5 tattooed to his temple. "Thank you, Fives, is it? I am, however, no master, and I prefer informality, so you may just call me Eryn."
She smiles brightly at these men, knowing they are clones of one man, but they all radiate their own force signature. She bows to the men. "I must be off, my master's funeral is soon. It is a pleasure to meet you all, Rex, Fives, Jesse and Cody." She nods to each in turn and walks away.
