"You know... Once you get past the 'imminent death lurking 'round every corner' thing, this place is a paradise," Sammy breathed.

"Do you know what would really be paradise?" I asked dreamily, watching as the clouds bumped into each other and blew themselves into new figures. "If we could spend a day here without running from dinosaurs, freak storms or searching for food. Just a day at Jurassic World that we can enjoy like normal kids again."

"Why don't we?" Kenji said with his eyebrows raised, "I mean, we've waited this long to get to Costa Rica. We can wait a day longer."

I held in a giggle and stared at Kenji with glimmering eyes. Kenji was so full of surprises today; had he already forgotten what happened when Ben suggested we choose to stay on Isla Nublar a day longer when we racked our brains for an escape plan? Kenji frowned at my expression.

"What?' Kenji said, crossing his arms.

"Weren't you crying the other day about wanting to leave the island 'right flipping now?'" I asked, beginning to grin.

"Hey! We were running from a T.rex. And you were bawling your eyes out just last week!"

"And that was because you forgot I was behind you. You let go of that leafy tree branch and let it whip my eyes. Thanks for that, Kenj," I said.

"Can we return to the whole 'living like normal kids' thing? Well, I want to return to Hidden Adventures and try the other rides. It's such a bummer the Tarbo got there before we got a chance. Ooh! And maybe we can see Hidden Adventure from here!" Sammy said.

She smiled wide as a quokka and returned to the binoculars on the right. Adjustments to the binoculars magnification had to be made as Sammy searched from left to right.

"Oh, wow. I can see everything: trees, trees, more trees, jungle, beach..." Sammy gasped so abruptly that Kenji and I jumped back in alarm. We stared at her concernedly, but Sammy's grin was so wide our worries were wiped out instantly.

"Guys, look at this, quick! Look, there! See?" Sammy burst, grabbing Kenji by the head and pulling him down so he could look at whatever Sammy had seen that was so ridiculously shocking. When Kenji spotted it, he slowly straightened up and silently looked between Sammy and me with a hanging jaw.

Now, just what had they seen!? I crouched slightly to look through the shorter set of binoculars. I noticed as Sammy had. Trees, trees, more trees, jungle, beach and... and... AND!!

"Mitch and Tiff's yacht!" I whispered excitedly, clutching Sammy's arm and shaking it.

But we didn't have enough time to squeal and dance in joy for such a brilliant find for Brooklynn, and Yasmina returned, screaming in alarm. They waved their hands in the air as they yelled at us;

"We gotta get out of here right now!"

They raced up the short staircase to where Sammy, Kenji and I watched them in stunned silence and suddenly screamed again. A dark, hideous-looking reptilian flew down before the two girls, cutting them off. The dimorphodon screeched an ugly cry and took a threatening step towards Yas and Brooklynn.

Kenji, Sammy and I stepped back, eyes still tracking the dimorphodon's jaws. From somewhere behind, I could hear a strange whooshing sound, like something racing through the air toward me. I craned my neck to look back, only to yelp and jump back as a second dimorphodon swooped into the air, arguably uglier than the first.

Actually, no. Both dimorphodons were just plain hideous. Plain hideous and the reason my breathing was concernedly ragged.

The second dimorphodon landed atop the overhang where we got off the gondolas and slithered down, claws scratching piercingly against the pillar as it did so. When it hit the floor, it menacingly crept towards us, step by step by step. The reptilian snarled.
