Tommy has been in a coma for a week and a few days.

The doctors do not know exactly when he will wake up.

The staff was perplexed when he was in the ambulance as he kept hacking up fully grown flowers.

When they finally reached the hospital, the doctor asked what was going on and his symptoms. Techno had to explain what it was, and when he did, the main doctor paled.

The doctor told them that Tommy was "lucky to be alive" since he lost so much blood and that it was very rare for someone to have such a condition. The doctor also said that he had only seen this happen once in his whole time working in a hospital.

This doctor wasn't the type of person to "beat around the bush." He was blunt with the family and told them that, eventually, the patient died.

However, he did give them hope by saying that after they did an x-ray of his lungs, Tommy managed to remove all of the flowers himself, so no surgery needed to be performed.

All they had to do was wait for Tommy to wake up.

And wait, they did.

Every single day since Tommy was admitted, they waited without leaving.

Even Tubbo and Ranboo visited and skipped school just to be there for Tommy. They waited for hours until the doctors and their parents forced them to go home since only "family" was allowed to stay for long periods of time.

However, they did not go without fighting. They yelled, "We are his family!"

Ranboo and Tubbo held the biggest grudge against Tommy's dad and brothers, resulting in many fights.

Eventually, though, their grudges got smaller after countless fights and Tommy's family's apologies.

However, they still glared at the others whenever Tommy's breath hitched in his sleep, saying, "If Tommy dies, then I will kill you guys myself."

They all thought that it was quiet in the hospital, too quiet.

Whenever Tommy was around, there was never a quiet moment. He was always so vibrant and loud that he lit up the room.

He was often told that he was "too loud" and sometimes even "annoying." Of course, Tommy knew that they said that as jokes since they always smiled and rolled their eyes while being told that.

But as Tommy lay in his hospital bed, not making a sound, they realized how much they missed his voice.

They missed his laughter, they missed his wide smile, they missed the way he would curse at them with fake glares.

They just...

They missed Tommy.

_____________

Tommy remembers the first day he was dropped off at the Watsons.

All he had was a beige duffel bag, a red and white baseball tee-shirt, dirty jeans, and shoes that were way too small for his feet.

When he got there, he was expecting judgment and maybe even looks of pity. However, the Watsons didn't greet him with that. Instead, he was met with excited expressions and warm smiles.

Tommy was the one who looked at them with judgment as he thought, 'Why do they look so damn happy? And why does that tall bitch have pink hair?!'

For the first month there, Tommy would lock himself in his room, thankful that, for once, the door had an actual lock, and he would only come out for school.
