Chapter 10,"It's Just Us."

Four days later...
Rain poured down to the ground.Each drop banging onto the earth creating a ruckus.The rain was falling heavy without remorse.With it's warnings in the past few days,the weather was sparing no one.

Each raindrop smashed against the East castle's roof,creating white noise for anyone who resided inside.

An hour earlier, the heirs of the Four Directions found themselves outside of the keep,in the garden admiring the bueaty of the plants.Laughter,bickering and conversations echoed in the vibrant coloured garden.

The time was pleasant, and bonds were strengthening...until the rain poured down,maliciously aiming to drench the heirs.

The four quickly ran inside,their formal clothing drenched as they rushed to return to the keep.Once they returned,they were swiftly asked to undress by the maids so their clothes could be washed and dried.

So this is where the heirs found themselves.In their own rooms,wearing comfy yet befitting clothes for royalty,waiting for their formal wear to dry and for the rain to stop.

Unfortunately,Shuichi Saihara,the prince of the North,couldn't have alone time like he planned once the rain started for one reason,Kokichi Oma wanted to bother him.

Kokichi found himself in Shuichi's room for entertainment and company after he changed clothes,so it was only the two princes in the room together.

"Achoo~."

Kokichi sneezes,his hands instinctively covering his nose.The South and North prince sat next to eachother on Shuichi's bed,having a conversation.

"Are you alright?"

Shuichi queries,tilting his head.The petite prince blinks rapidly then turns to his peer with a smile.

"Of course~!I'm just alittle cold."

Kokichi beams.
The bookworm reluctantly nods,accepting the response.

"Though rain is a nice backdrop for reading,I'd rather it stop."

Shuichi glances at his closed bedroom window,raindrops gracefully running down the glass.The trickster giggles and says...

"I find playing in the rain to be much more soothing~."

"So that's why you were so hesitant to come back inside..."

Mutters the North prince,holding his chin in thought.

"Aw.You know me so well."

The galaxy inspired prince playfully nudges his taller peer.
Shuichi couldn't help but smile at his motion,feeling abit playful.

"Playing in the rain isn't something a prince should do."

The North heir playfully scolds.A mock pout forms on the purple haired prince.

"Being a prince should be fun!We have power,money,followers and freedom!Well...alittle freedom."

Kokichi scratches the back of his neck,his bright purple gaze finding its way to his lap.

"Ha.Being a prince is stressful,Kichi."

Shuichi sighs.
Subtly,Kokichi couldn't help but blink in surprise.The nickname Shuichi called him slipped so easily off the tongue,it could almost be overlooked.A soft blush greeted Kokichi's cheeks,though he tried to fix his expression for the conversation.

"I'm blessed for my life but...my responsibilities are just going to increase when I become king.My parents are going to be even more nagging,especially my mother.All the rules I have to follow and retain will break me..."
