It was a warm yet foggy day. The sun was behind the clouds, giving a moment of coolness. We were having a walk at a large park. I had ice lollies in our hands as we chatted.

“It’s pretty weird.” I said. “It’s gonna take some time for me to get used to having a metal ankle.”

“Try an entire arm.” Star joked.

“I feel left out.” Puffer also joked.

We reached a bench and sat down for a moment. A warm breeze came over us.

“Why did you both want to see me?” I asked.

“We just wanted to see you.” Star said. “Is there something wrong with that?”

“I don’t get it. Once again, I’ve paid off all my debts yet you still persist. What’s the deal?”

“There’s more to life than debts, y’know.”

“But we were only fighting against Jaws because of debts. They owed me at first and then I owed you because of your arm. I don’t see why we need to talk about it any more.”

Puffer put their arm on my shoulder.

“You don't have many friends, do you?” They asked with a grin.

“I don’t really try to make friends.” I responded.

“You need to live a little. C’mon!”

“Hold that thought.” I said, lifting a finger.

In the distance, through the fog, I could see something in the environment moving. The part of the park I was looking at was supposed to be a giant, circular patch of grass with a path around it. What I saw was a curved triangle. As I stared, the edge of the park came closer. The whole circle had disappeared into nothing. There wasn’t a black hole or void or anything like that. It was just nothingness. A hole in space filled by the surrounding environment. In a few seconds, the environment from the far east and west of the park was in front of me. The next moment, I was at the singularity point.

I could see fingers for a split second before appearing in the park as it was before. The circle of grass was in front of me as it had been. The fog was gone almost completely, though. I looked to my sides and saw that Puffer and Star were as bewildered as I was. I looked behind me. An entirely different world was there. Pieces of the park started appearing to overwrite the new environment in a similar way they had been disappearing previously.

Worlds were fusing due to someone’s ability going out of control and moving people and pieces of my world into another. It was the beginning of a new adventure.
