Chapter 14 - Summoned to Court

A week goes by and Bucky and Sofia moved into their apartment. Loki and Becca are planning their wedding. And Steve is spending as much time as he can with his daughter Sarah. All seems well as the new beginning of their lives.

One day, Becca, Sofia, Natasha, Yelena, Wanda, and Sarah are at a bridal shop, helping Becca pick the best dress. Becca comes out in a dress, and asks them, "Well...what do you think?"

"No," Natasha replied.

"Nope," Wanda agreed.

"No way!" said Yelena.

"I think it's pretty," Sarah commented.

"That's a no from me as well," Sofia added.

Becca groans as she glances at the mirror and back at her friends and family. She says, "Ugh! This is hard! How am I supposed to know which is the one?"

"You have to feel it I guess. I don't know." Sofia replied.

"You'll know," Natasha answered. "Trust us."

"I've tried at least ten dresses now though," Becca sighed.

"We know, just remember, this day is about you and what you want people to feel as they see you coming down the aisle," Sofia implied.

"You're right." Becca smiles.

Natasha gets up from her seat, grabs a dress, and says, "Try on this one." Becca looks at it, grabs the dress, and leaves to change. At that moment, Natasha gets a notification on her phone. She's confused. "Sofia...have you and Becca received a letter from the government lately?"

"Not that I'm aware of why?" asks Sofia.

Natasha shows the text to her. "Because all of the Avengers including you two are being called for a pardon."

"Wait, all of us?" asks Wanda.

"Why?" asks Yelena.

"Not sure," Natasha replied.

"Wait, if we all received one that must mean Bucky and Loki will get one too," Sofia replied.

"Yeah, they've been called too," Natasha added.

"What does the pardon include?" Yelena asks.

"According to the mandate, we all are relieved from the legal consequences that took place after the accords were signed to now after we fought against Thanos."

Sofia groans, feeling upset, "Meaning they know about Becca and I acting out."

"Regardless, some of us are going to be forced to do things that we don't like," Natasha answered.

"Like what?" Sofia asked.

"Mandatory therapy for some of us," Natasha replied.

"I'm not going to therapy," Yelena said, defensively.

"I don't think we will have a choice," Wanda implied.

Natasha nods and agrees, "She's right. If we don't go along with the pardon they could arrest us."

"Great," Sofia sighs.

"Oh, she's coming back," Wanda whispered as she sees Becca approaching them.

They all look and awe as Becca comes out with a beautiful ball gown. She turns in a circle and asks, "Well, what do you think?"

"It's beautiful!" They said together.

"I think it's perfect," answered Wanda.

"I love it!" said Sofia.
