‌this man was an unhealthy yellow and brown, his lips were dried and cracking, his form slumping, but his face was bright. He was thin, but not quite weak. His eyes were shining incredibly bright.

"What‌ ‌is‌ ‌this‌ ‌place?"‌ ‌He‌ ‌asked.‌

"This‌ ‌is‌ ‌the‌ ‌Xianle‌ ‌Pavilion,‌ ‌the‌ ‌Temple‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌Crown‌ ‌Prince!"‌ ‌Qi‌ ‌Rong‌ ‌replied.‌ i sent Qi Rong an unseen glare. The man began mumbling, yet still loud enough to be heard.

"Temple‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌Crown‌ ‌Prince?‌ ‌Crown‌ ‌Prince?‌ ‌So‌ ‌this‌ ‌is‌ ‌the‌ ‌palace?"‌ ‌He‌ ‌saw‌ ‌the‌ ‌divine‌ ‌statue‌ ‌behind the three of us, yet not actually . ‌he‌ ‌asked‌ ‌again,‌ ‌"Is‌ ‌that‌ ‌gold?"‌

He must be from a less glamorous-based homeland. It is pretty in Xianle, but it can be a little blinding. It is nice to have a less expensive place, and it would be easier to work as a cultivator, in my personal opinion. A guard came in behind them. Great, it's going to end in a fight.

Qi‌ ‌Rong‌ ‌said,‌ ‌"Of‌ ‌course‌ ‌it's‌ ‌gold.‌ ‌The‌ ‌Temple‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌Crown‌ ‌Prince‌ ‌is‌ ‌a‌ ‌temple,‌ ‌not‌ ‌the‌ ‌pavilion‌ ‌at‌ ‌the‌ ‌imperial‌ ‌palace!‌ ‌You‌ ‌don't‌ ‌even‌ ‌know‌ ‌where‌ ‌you‌ ‌are,‌ ‌where‌ ‌did‌ ‌you‌ ‌barbarian‌ ‌come‌ ‌from?"‌

"Then‌ ‌where's‌ ‌the‌ ‌palace?"‌ ‌That‌ ‌man‌ ‌asked.‌

Qi‌ ‌Rong‌ ‌squinted‌ ‌his‌ ‌eyes,‌ ‌"Why‌ ‌do‌ ‌you‌ ‌ask?"‌

That‌ ‌man‌ ‌replied‌ ‌in‌ ‌a‌ ‌serious‌ ‌tone,‌ ‌"I‌ ‌need‌ ‌to‌ ‌go‌ ‌to‌ ‌the‌ ‌palace‌ ‌and‌ ‌see‌ ‌the‌ ‌king.‌ ‌I‌ ‌have‌ ‌something‌ ‌to‌ ‌tell‌ ‌him."‌

I looked at the man after hearing this. Qi Rong and his guards burst out laughing.

"Where‌ ‌did‌ ‌this‌ ‌country‌ ‌bumpkin‌ ‌come‌ ‌from?‌ ‌You‌ ‌want‌ ‌to‌ ‌do‌ ‌what‌ ‌at‌ ‌the‌ ‌palace?‌ ‌Want‌ ‌to‌ ‌see‌ ‌the‌ ‌king?‌ ‌Is‌ ‌he‌ ‌someone‌ ‌you‌ ‌can‌ ‌see‌ ‌just‌ ‌because‌ ‌you‌ ‌want‌ ‌to?‌ ‌They‌ ‌probably‌ ‌won't‌ ‌even‌ ‌let‌ ‌you‌ ‌through‌ ‌the‌ ‌gates‌ ‌when‌ ‌you‌ ‌get‌ ‌there."‌ ‌‌That‌ ‌man‌ ‌didn't‌ ‌seem‌ ‌to‌ ‌be‌ ‌affected‌ ‌by‌ ‌the‌ ‌taunt. Qi Ying had her fists balled, and I could see her eyes give a sharp stare.

"I'll‌ ‌go‌ ‌try.‌ ‌Maybe‌ ‌it'll‌ ‌work."‌ the man said, calm and collected.

Qi‌ ‌Rong‌ ‌laughed,‌ ‌"Then‌ ‌go‌ ‌try!"‌

Then‌ ‌he‌ ‌raised‌ ‌his‌ ‌hand‌ ‌and‌ ‌purposely‌ ‌pointed‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌wrong‌ ‌direction.‌

"Thanks," the man said as he adjusted his satchel. Qi Ying rushed to follow as the man left the temple. I remained where I was, and I couldn't see what happened past the entrance since many individuals were blocking the way. I couldn't see what was happening until Qi Rong looked like he just saw something disrespectful. after that Qi Ying said something a little louder than I expected to hear from her.

"You aren't supposed to take those!"‌ Qi Rong turned to his guards, and told them to do something. I looked to my brother, and he gave a nod. We both made our way to the backs of our statues. I looked to Flower Sword again, while Feng Xin followed us.

"On three," he said as he placed his hands on the statue. I nodded and placed mine on the other. Flower Sword tapped his foot three times before we both simultaneously shoved the statues. they weren't as heavy as i would think before ascention. this should give us enough of a distraction to allow us to go see the man.

"THE CROWN PRINCE AND PRINCESS' STATUES!"‌ ‌‌Qi‌ ‌Rong shrieked. we need more information on this man. i ran around the back and i heard two grown men follow me. Brother and Feng Xin must be following behind. just past the stone bridge, i saw Qi Ying walking and talking with the man.

"Brother," I said, turning back. Flower Sword had a feigned look on his face, while Feng Xin looked mortified. "Can either of you ask Qing Qing to come here and explain why someone from Yong An would see Father?"

"what does Yong an-"

"just ask. I'll explain later." I said, interrupting Feng Xin. i ran to my younger cousin and the man, trying to listen in.
