I felt my brother's hesitance as we headed inside the palace. I took his hand and gave it a squeeze for comfort. With a deep breath, Flower Sword and I walked into the room, pulling away the curtain, revealing mother and father, both exhausted and burned out.

"Mother," I greeted them. "Father," both turned their heads to us quickly.

"My children," mother cried joyful tears and rushed to us with open arms. Brother and I each opened our arms, catching her arms as she rushed to us. I glanced at my father, and he had a dark look on his face. of course.

"Why have you both descended?" Father had the same tone he always had with brother and me.

"Our kingdom, from what I can tell, is going to be in the middle of a war, so we came back to protect it." I told him honestly and truthfully.

"Plus, you haven't taken a great deal of responsibility." brother commented to father, and I looked between them, knowing either mother or I would have to play mediator.

"responsibility? What would you know?" father retorted.

"Here we go," I sigh. Before long, their argument got worse, and I had to intervein. Conjuring a ball of white and blue mana, I sent it between brother and father, bursting in a bright light, making brother and father jump back and cover their eyes while I blocked mothers eyes from the light. Once the light cleared, I looked between Brother and Father, who both looked to me.

"Anyway, Father, we did not come back. Do brother could start an argument?" I gritted my teeth at the end of my sentence. "And brother, we did not descend so you could nitpick, father."

Both my brother and father didn't look me in the eye, but I could tell they understood I was not in the mood to watch another fight.

"Now, we came back specifically because things are going to only get worse, and Xianle will need all the help it can get. so we are not going back to heaven." i stated.

"A-Mei-" I interrupted my father before he could start scolding me and my brother.

"'If an heir to the throne cannot arise to the occasion, they are not worthy of their title or being a member of the royal family'," I quoted my father's exact words from before when he taught me and my brother what it meant to be the crowned prince and princess. "remember father?"

"..." I could see in his face that Father knew I was right and that I wasn't backing down. He just sighed.

"Anyway, brother, I think we should go get Xin Xin and Qing Qing before too many rumours start to spread." I turned to the flower sword. "Ah, we definitely should," he responded. I gave my mother a quick hug and did the same for my father before leaving. Father was trying to hide a small smile on his face. I knew he was happy to see us, but he is probably not happy about how he is seeing us, but eh. I didn't see what happened with Flower Sword and Father, but I knew they gave each other a nasty look. I had an idea where to find the other two.

I didn't see what happened with Flower Sword and Father, but I knew they gave each other a nasty look. I had an idea where to find the other two. Broher and I wandered into an alleyway in Grand Avenue of divine might, and there we were met by two officials who ascended along side us.

"Your highness!" Mu Qing was the first of the two to rush to us. "You both requested to descend? You spoke with the heavenly emperor?!"

"More like stated, but more or less," I responded.

"Why didn't you tell me first?!"

"What do you mean?" Feng Xin was puzzled. "When their highness wants to do something, do either of them then have to report to anyone?"

Mu Qing looked ready to punch him in the face. "Why shouldn't they?! We are their subordinates!"

"BOYS!" I snap, both of them looking to me, shutting their mouths. "Qing Qing, you are right; we should have told you and Xin Xin. Xin Xin, I appreciate that you want my brother and I to have free rain on what we do as gods, but Qing Qing is right about us telling you two."

Both of them calmed down, but they were still glaring at each other. That's when a mob of Xianle people gathered in the streets, yelling and cursing at the Yong as a bloodline. As much as I want to help my homeland, I can't tolerate disrespecting others like this; if the tables were turned, they would be on the receiving end of things and suffering.

"I am done watching this happen." My tone was cold, my eyes turning black in the sclera, the blue iris' glowing with distain.

"mei?" Mu Qing asked, concern soaking his words.

I was about to speak when Feng Xin spoke up behind me. "I don't remember women being apart of these protests."

"What?" I turn to him quick as a shot.

"There hasn't been a woman attending these protests." He explained looking at a young woman about our age, specifically a woman I vaguely recognize as someone who was a candidate for producing Brother's possible child. I personally find concubines and harems distasteful, and I am not letting my brother get stuck with either.

"What are you trying to say?" I had an offended tone, but my eyes clearly said I was teasing him.

"I am not saying anything; I am just making a statement." Feng Xin looked like I was about to rip off his head.

"I know I'm just pulling your leg!" I laugh with a snort.  Feng Xin sighed in relief. "Wait... is she familiar to all of you or no?"

"her father wanted her to join a harem and-"

"Stop! no!" I covered my ears before Mu Qing could continue. The three of them knew how I felt about these things and how they made me feel. "That's enough information, thanks!"
