Brother straightened and became serious again, "That's right, we are gods. I called you both over because I've indeed come to a decision."
The atmosphere turned heavy in an instant.
"What do you want us to do?" Feng Xin asked,
Mu Qing questioned, "Are we still minding this matter?"
"We are. It's simple." brother said,
"There's not enough water in the Kingdom of Xianle, so we'll go to the kingdoms outside Xianle."
"Go to the other kingdoms?" Mu Qing asked, hesitant, "Wouldn't that be too far? We'd need to borrow water-creating spiritual devices from some water god, and impose ourselves in the territories of other heavenly officials. They might not be willing."
My brother and I had already considered this.
"We're going to give it a shot. It's still better than doing nothing. You two stay and continue to watch over Yong'an. Assist the worst affected areas and I will return to the Heavenly Court. Any problems?" i spoke up,
"No problems. I've got your backs." Feng Xin said. Mu Qing thought about it for a second, then asked; "Then what about all the prayers from the devotees at the Temple of the Crown Prince, Your Highness?"
"We were going to get to that." brother replied, "Pick out the important ones and take care of them for me. The not so dire ones can wait."
The look Mu Qing had did not look optimistic, but he still acknowledged the order. "You're the Crown Prince, we'll listen to you. But, I'd advise not to let them wait too long."
brother patted the boys on the shoulders. Feng Xin and Mu Qing bowed before they departed and left, leaving us with the kids in the shrine.
"Brother," I said, turning to him, and he locked eyes with me. "I have something I need to do."
"be careful." He patted my head like he always did since he and I were six years old. I smiled at him, he smiled back, and I left after glancing back at the kids with Zuko before I left.
I headed for the Xianle Palace to investigate the missing funds and maybe see how Pyua is doing since she is pregnant and due any day now. While invisible to humans, I conjured my wings of ice and flew straight up into the sky, creating a gust of wind for people around me. I flew to the palace, reaching it in a matter of minutes. I flew around to the back of the palace, where there was an indented perch. I would watch my brother train from up there until he taught me what Mei Nianqing taught him. From there, I looked down to the training grounds, and there, I saw Qi Ying and Pyua talking. I couldn't tell what was said, but I could tell Pyua was having trouble walking with the baby. I know Pyua was with the guy I was no longer arranged to marry—a one-night stand, but still. Up until now, Pyua would have committed a massacre to give birth to a baby. I can tell Qi Ying is helping her as much as possible. I let out a quiet sigh, knowing I couldn't help them much.
