Stan's POV:

(Some angst??😭)

I woke up to my alarm, like usual. I decided that today I was gonna go to school, because I wanted to see Kyle, and we haven't spoken directly in a hot minute.

I get dressed and ready, then I went downstairs with my backpack.

"Hi mom, hi Shelley." I wave at the two.

"Hi, Stan." Shelley replies.

"Oh, hi Stanley. Here, have some toast before you leave." Mom gives me a piece of toast.

"Thanks, mom." I take the toast from her and take a bite out of it.

I have no idea how today's gonna go, but I have a feeling that I'm gonna be too afraid to ask him out, or to even hint that I might like him.

"So, Stanley, your sister tells me you have a little crush on someone from school?" Mom asks. I give Shelly a look and she mouths, "Sorry, not sorry."

"Uhh, maybe...?" I chuckle awkwardly.

"Oh, that's so sweet. What's her name?" Mom asks.

Her. What's her name. I thought. I shook my head. "Tell you what, I might tell you their name if you stop talking about it until at least this afternoon."

Mom rolls her eyes. "Oh, fine, Stanley. Go on, now. You'll miss your bus."

"Okay, bye." I walk out the door.

How am I gonna tell my parents that I'm bi?

I start getting closer to the bus stop and hear Kyle and Cartman arguing, per usual. Kenny is standing there too, but he is purely listening and not breaking them up.

"I don't care, you're short." Cartman crosses his arms.

"Cartman, I'm literally taller than your fatass, you fucking hypocrite." Kyle spouts back.

"Stan, you're short too." Cartman points at me.

"You're such an idiot, Cartman. I'm not short, you're just trying to call out other people because you're embarrassed about your own height." I roll my eyes.

"Well, I don't care! You're even shorter than Kyle, which makes you really short."

"The fuck are you yelling at Stan for? Dude, just face it, you're trying to start problems because you're bored with life." Kyle says.

"The only person that's bored with his life is you! Your mom's such a fat bitch and we can't handle it anymore!" Cartman yells.

I defend Kyle. "Who's we? You think you're so smart, don't you? Kyle's mom is one of the nicest women that I've ever met."

Cartman opened his mouth to say something, but the bus pulls up to the house and we have to get on. He scowls at me and Kyle, but we get on the bus.

The school day went by like usual, the next thing I remember, we were already getting on the bus in the afternoon. I sat in the very last seat, and Kyle sat next to me in the aisle seat.

At one point, I actually fell asleep.

"Stan, you're bisexual? That's so stupid."

"Stanley, it's okay, it's just a phase. I can send you somewhere, we can fix this, okay?"

"Sharon, what the hell is wrong with you? We can't fix this, we just have to kick him out. Tell him he isn't welcome anymore."

"What? You can't do that... I'm barley sixteen, where will I go?"

"I don't care, Stan. Just get out."
I felt tears roll down my cheeks, then someone shaking me.

"Stan, are you okay? You fell asleep on my shoulder, but then I looked at you and you were crying. What happened?" (Steven Universe moment)

"Oh," I wipe my eyes. "Sorry, I had a nightmare."

"It's okay, Stan." He gently rubs my hair. "What about?"

"K-Kyle...?" My voice breaks. "Do you think my parents will hate me when I come out?"

"Oh, Stan. C'mere." Kyle hugs me. "If they really love you—which they do—then they will accept you. I know it."

"Thanks.." Kyle pats my back.

"We're almost at our stop, okay? And you can cry on my shoulder for as long as you need, yeah?" He lets go of me.

The rest of the bus ride is silent. And I don't mean that me and Kyle didn't talk—I mean nobody, at all, said a word.

Our stop came rather quickly, and me, Kyle, Kenny, and Cartman got off, of course. We started chatting a bit on the way, except for Cartman, because he ran to his house.

"Mr. Garrison is so crazy, huh?" Kyle says.

"Yeah, he almost gave me detention." Kenny chuckles.

"Hm." I smile. There is a short pause. "I think I'm gonna paint my nails black."

"Really? I think that'd be a really good look for you." Kyle adds.

"Thanks." I smile at Kyle.

"Hello!!" Kenny yells. "I'm here, too!"

We keep walking and see Kenny's house ahead. "Not for long." I laugh as we walk up to Kenny's house.

"Oh, well. Bye, guys! See you tomorrow?"

"See you!" Kyle says and he waves as Kenny walks into his house.

Me and Kyle keep walking, though obviously, our houses are right ahead, but we aren't walking that fast.

"You wanna come over to my house in a bit? We have no homework, and nothing to do, so..." Kyle suggests.

"I'd love to! I'm just gonna go home to put my bag down, then I'll be there." I nod.

"Okay, bye!"

"Bye!"
