Stan's POV

I got up this morning with a really bad headache. Honestly, the only things motivating me to go to school are Wendy and my friends.

I get all ready for school, I put my hat on, get all my stuff situated, and head off to the bus stop, after saying goodbye to my parents. When I arrive, Kenny is the only other person there, I was slightly early.

"Hey dude." Kenny says, trying to engage in conversation.

"What's up?" I reply.

"You know," Kenny starts. "Hanging in there. I finally saved up enough for a phone, but I don't know which one to get."

That's cool, I guess.

Cartman shows up from behind me. "What are you two homos talking about?" I roll my eyes, trying to ignore him.

"Shut up fatass." I move away from him, Kenny following me. A couple minutes pass of no conversation.

Kenny starts talking again, so Cartman doesn't get an idea for a snarky comment. "Where's Kyle?" He asks, assuming I'd know. I shrug.

Where is he?

"Yeah, Stan! Where's your little Jew of a boyfriend?" Cartman adds. I scowl at him before we return to silence. I notice a couple minutes pass by once again, no sign of Kyle. I start to worry more.

"Are you two sure you haven't heard from Kyle? He usually tells me when he'll be absent.." I ask to mostly Kenny, Cartman would probably say something about how I'm in love with him or something stupid.

"No. Wouldn't he have told you he would be out when you two were hanging ou-" Kenny covers his mouth, realizing he wasn't supposed to say that.

"Wait, why did Kyle tell you about that? I don't care, but how? You have no phone." I turn more towards Kenny.

"Well, I'll tell you," he starts to whisper. "If you don't say anything to anyone. Especially Kyle." We move away from Cartman more.

"Look," He begins, "Kyle and I scheduled a sleepover at his house." He adds, "He realized he didn't call you back and asked if I could wait for him to get back from your house to hang out and assure to him you were okay. Because, well, we all know how you overthink.." He ends.

"Well, I don't understand. Why wouldn't he want me to know about that?"

"He gets... a little embarrassed. Especially around you."

"Why only around me?"

"Well, he likes being your friend. A lot. He'll do anything to not break that bond." We didn't notice until now, but Kyle walked over and is looking at us. Maybe he's wondering what we're talking about

(Small paragraphs of Kenny's POV🤪🤪)

I notice Kyle over near Cartman at the bus stop. They were arguing, as usual. Then he noticed me and Stan talking. I see the jealousy in his eyes.

"Stay here a sec," I whisper to Stan and walk over to Kyle. "I see that look..." I start. "You're jealous because Stan is talking to me instead of you~~" I tease while raising my eyebrows suggestively.

He blushes. "No— Kenny! Shh! What if he can hear??" Kyle cuts the act and finally acts like the Kyle that admitted he liked Stan the other day. "I don't want him to know yet!!" He whispers.

"Oh, fine, loverboy! But if you don't tell him eventually, I will!" I flip him off.

"Shut up! I'll kill you before you even get the chance! Plus, don't act like you have the upper hand here! I have the same amount of power over you! I can tell Marj everything!" He responds.

Cartman turns over, he heard, not Stan, though. "I'll give you 20 bucks if you don't tell Stan and Marjorine. Take it or leave it, fat boy!" Kyle whisper yells.

Stan's POV

Kenny walked away from me to talk to Kyle. I don't know what he's saying to him, but he flipped Kyle off while smiling. Then Kyle looked so angry his face got red. After a second of them talking, Kyle and Kenny start talking to Cartman, also.

Then, Kyle hands Cartman some money and Kenny signals to me that I can come back over.

Good thing I did, because the bus pulled up immediately.

It's about time, god!

We get on the bus. I sit in my normal seat, next to Kyle.

Why were you talking to Kenny? I also heard "Marjorine" in there. What does she have to do with it? Why'd you pay Cartman??

Instead of saying all that, I just say, "What's up, dude?" So I'm not barraging him with questions and stressing him out.

"Nothing much, Also, did you do the math homework? I forgot." He says.

"Obviously! Why would I say no to that? We're best friends!" I let him copy me before we arrive at school.

God, I would hate going to school if it wasn't for Kyle and...
my other friends.

We get off the bus and go through the normal school day just like normal. We follow the weekly schedule, eat lunch together, all that.

In the afternoon, we get back on the bus and Kyle starts conversation way faster than it normally takes him.

"Dude!" He shouts before sitting down. "I think you're in for something big when we get home. Wendy told me to tell you that she is gonna call you when she gets home from school. She said, "she needs to talk." I hope it's not as bad as it sounds."

I stare at him, thinking about how life could be without Wendy. I would lose a loved one. I always expected to be more upset if she ever broke up with me again.

"I... don't feel as bad. I thought it would be the worst to even think about, but here I am, and I'm barely caring. I'm so confused."

"Stan, if you lost feelings, you should tell her. She has a right to know.

Kyle's POV

I turn around to look at Kenny, who's across from me and Stan on the bus with the happiest grin ever. Still empathetic for my friend, but happy that my crush would soon be single.
