"The candy bowl is out there, why are they still ringing the doorbell?" Bucky whined as we were interrupted for the tenth time from playing Cooties.
"I'll go see." Steve said, hauling himself up off the floor, going out of the room to the front door.
"Hmpf." Bucky muttered, rolling the die and getting a three. "Are you kidding me? I already have a mouth piece!"
I giggled, taking the die from him and rolling a six, which was a leg and took one of the roller skates, carefully putting it on my pink cootie. I only needed a mouth and one more leg to win. And despite being Bucky's girlfriend, he was still extremely competitive and was attempting to play dirty.
"This game is rigged." Bucky muttered darkly, taking the die again, but I slapped his hand.
"It's Steves' turn!"
"Punk isn't here though." Bucky whined.
"You're like a child." Steve sighed, clearing having come back from the kitchen as he had cookies with him, setting them down on the table near where they were playing. "Anyways, it was just Peter and his friends. They wanted to say hi."
"Oh neat." Bucky said, "Now roll the die."
Steve rolled his eyes, rolling the die and added a mouth to his cootie.
The game went on like that, Steve and me neck and neck while Bucky still struggled to get the last seven pieces he needed, looking like he was going to crush the plastic toy in his hand.
Finally, Steve won and Bucky growled just as the doorbell rang again.
"I'll get it." Steve chuckled, standing up, running his fingers through Bucky's hair, walking back to the door. I took one of the cookies, biting into the sugary treat.
"I don't suppose you're the witch and I'm Gretel?" I asked as I ate the sweet treat. I had had more sweet treats in the past month than I had in my entire life. We usually only did them for special occasions, and only from Stark farms.
Bucky smirked, already out of his bad mood from the game. "I would like to eat you right up."
My face went bright red and I quickly sat up on my knees so I could start putting the game away.
"Hey guys!" Tony Starks' voice came through the room as Steve entered, followed by the mechanical teacher and a small child. "Morgan wanted to say hi to her super soldier Uncles."
"Hey kiddo." Bucky said, holding his fist out which she slapped like a high five. She looked like she was maybe four or five, and adorable little child with brown hair and brown eyes. She was grinning widely while staring at Bucky, but immediately turned shy when she saw me, ducking behind her. . . fathers(?) legs.
"This is Elizabeth kiddo." Bucky said, introducing the two of us.
"Hi Morgan." I said softly, smiling. I loved kids, they always made my day, and Morgan was absolutely adorable.
"Hi." She whispered shyly.
"Anyways, we were just passing through." Tony said, leaning forwards and snagging one of the cookies. "You want to keep trick or treating Maguna?"
She was eyeing the cootie game and I looked up at Steve who looked delighted to have Morgan and Tony over.
"You know," I said slowly. "We do have one spot left in this game. If you wanted to play, we could team up against the boys, Morgan."
For once, competition didn't flare into Bucky's eyes. He just grinned, looking at Morgan. "What do you said pipsqueak?"
"'M not a pipsqueak!" Morgan stomped her foot adorably, crossing her arms over her chest. "I will win!"
