Steve held Bucky back, the two of them hiding in the shadows, watching Elizabeth and Clementine stand near this boy. He looked like a fine kid, though nothing like Clementine. Clementine and Elizabeth looked like they were related more than she did with the boy that had said was the brother.

Bucky looked like he was going to charge the boy, but Steve wanted to hear the conversation first. He wanted to know what was going on before things got covered up, before they got secretive. He wanted to be aware of how Elizabeth truly felt about this boy.

"No." Elizabeth responded coldly to his question. "Actually, I was hoping your absence meant you'd dropped dead."

Well, now he knew exactly how she felt about him.

"That's not nice." The boy pouted. He was a gorgeous kid, flawless skin, fluffy chocolate brown hair, glistening green eyes. But there was something off about his smile, something Steve didn't like at all. "It's almost like you hate me."

"Oh I do." Elizabeth said bluntly. "You need to leave before I shoot you."

But she didn't have the gun. Was this the real reason she carried the gun on her? In case this boy showed up? And they had taken it from her, confiscated it.

The boy turned to Clementine. "C'mon Clem, you can at least pretend you're excited to see your big brother."

"Well, we're not. Why are you here?" Elizabeth asked before Clementine said a thing. It was the first time Steve had seen Clementine be quiet while Elizabeth defended her. She was even standing in front of her, angling her body to protect her. Normally, the positions were reversed.

"I'm going to be here for two weeks with a couple of fellow college classmates. We're doing an internship thing-"

"And you couldn't choose any other college in the whole wide world? Like maybe one in the state of California?" Elizabeth deadpanned.

"I wanted to see my baby sister and her best friend. First year of college, c'mon it's exciting." He continued.

"Go away Donavan."

"I like when my name comes outta your mouth." He grinned.

Bucky immediately started forwards and Steve had to hold him back again. "Stop Buck."

"I like it when it starts raining teeth from your mouth." Elizabeth spat and Steve felt Buckys' chest rumble from silent laughter. Their doll was feisty.

"Anyways, where's you're guys dorm? I thought we could stay with yo-"

"We?" Clementine and Elizabeth asked at the same time.

"Yeah, Brock is here, you remember Brock?" Donavan asked.

"Fuck you, we're leaving." Elizabeth spat, grabbing Clementines' hand, turning to leave, but was stopped as a shadowy figure stood in front of her. Steves' arms tightened around Bucky, before the figure stepped into the light.

Now, Steve had to fight Bucky, because Bucky was trying to get to Elizabeth desperately now. "Buck- stop- please."

Bucky was seething as Brock Rumlow stepped up to Elizabeth, "Where you going sweetcheeks."

Elizabeth made a gagging sound. Brock nudged Donavan. "That's the sound she makes when she choked."

"We never had sex Brock." Elizabeth growled. "C'mon." She started in the opposite direction with Clem.

"Or maybe you just don't want everyone to know that their sweet little toy has been broken in and played with." Brock teased, calling after her, his dark eyes glinting with humor. "Or maybe, you just don't remember." Elizabeth turned back to him, angry. "Or maybe, you were asleep." the anger drained from her face, replaced with fear and uncertainty.
