Is love a forbidden feeling?
Why must we hide away
Like a criminal dealing?
How can we love with secrecy?
We cannot express our joy aloud?
Is love the wrong feeling
And should we be ashamed and confused?
What is the reason why
Our love must be kept in the dark?
Why can't we share our love
With all the world?
We should feel proud
About this feeling we hold,
But the law says no
And we must be ashamed
Is love a crime
That should only be hidden?
The feeling of love is not a crime
Or at least it shouldn't be
Why is the love we feel a secret?
Love is something that should be free
We cannot control who we love
It should not be hidden and locked away
We need to shout it from the top of the rooftops
Why is our love not celebrated, every day?
Who cares if love is between a man and a woman,
Or between any other combination
Love is love, and it deserves to be celebrated
Not hidden away like a dirty secret.
If love is something beautiful
Why should it be kept a secret?
Let's celebrate love
And let's be free
Without the fear and shame
Let's celebrate love, in our own way
This feeling, let's share
With our friends and family
It should not be hidden,
Locked up or locked away
Let's celebrate love
And let's express ourselves
This beautiful feeling should not be a secret
Why can't our love be out in the open?
Let's spread love and joy
Spread love and cheer
Spread love and celebrate!
To celebrate love
Is to celebrate life
Let's share this beautiful feeling
Spread love and joy
Let's live each day
Like it's the happiest
For love is a beautiful feeling
And the world deserves to celebrate it!
