*Liza POV

It had been a few weeks and I was losing hope. The promises to Rosco that daddy will be home from camp soon felt more like a lie and I hated it. What else was there to tell our innocent boy who doesn't know any better? He sleeps in bed with me every night now, the absence of Nate had led to night traumas... it was inevitable.

Crouched over the edge of my bed a few tears trickled down my cheek and onto my stomach. I looked down and caressed the bump that had begun to form. How could it ever be, pregnant without the father there, unable to share the memories and its growth as a married couple. A small sob escaped my lips.

I must've fallen asleep because I woke on my side in the foetal position, weak, beside the bed. I had a sense that I was being watched or that someone or something was nearby. Similar to when that strange man visited roughly a month back.

Suddenly there he was, I saw something in the corner of my left eye slightly move. I jumped but not with fear, Moreso with confusion. This man didn't scare me, once again, I wasn't afraid. More surprised than anything. The aura this man brought was strange. It was welcoming and kind, regardless of how poorly he was dressed or maintained. I was stressed, confused, and scared of the situation as a whole and had no intentions to lash out but I scrunched up my face in anger.

"Who the fuck are you? Where's Nate, and WHAT NERVE DO YOU HAVE TO COME HERE WITHOUT HIM?" tears swelled in my eyes, I whispered the word 'fuck' in case Rosco might've heard me.

I began to shake as my emotions just took over me and I crumpled back onto the side of the bed. The man remained calm as if he was understanding of my reaction... he shouldn't, I did just verbally abuse him.

"I-I'm sorry." I sniffled. "I just don't know where Nate is, I don't know who you are or how you got into my house. I'm scared and the police keep harassing me for information and I don't know anything, I'm pregnant and Nate isn't here and Rosco is scared." I started to lose my breath as I railed out these words trying to come to an understanding.

The man sat beside me, which was great comfort, "Child, you must not worry or stress, patience is key. I do understand this is hard for you. It is hard for Nate too, but rest assured knowing he is okay. He is trapped right now but he is rather close to coming back home to you and your son.".

"How do you know where he is and that he is safe? You seem so sure...". I looked up at him in despair.

"I come to you today to deliver the message, with wishes that you do not lose hope. I have seen him myself and he has been captured. Be sure to know that he is not in any physical pain, and he is very close to escaping and coming home. Your prayers do help. They allow us to send him hope and willpower to keep going which is the best thing he needs right now... you must not lose faith". His vibe was so calming and reassuring.

It was good to hear that Nate was okay, the fact that he is still going to come home seems unrealistic, but I took the man's reassurance of his safety, I didn't exactly have a choice.

I smiled. For the first time in a long time as I imagined running to his arms perfectly suffocated in Nates scent and love. Telling him the news of our family expanding.

"Thank you, kind man, this is very difficult, but I will keep trying for Nate." I looked down at the carpet in emotional pain... I will do anything for Nate".

The man gracefully stood up "I must continue on my travels; I trust that you will do wonders in assisting Nate's return".

"Wait!" I blurted out. "May I ask... who are you?" I begged for an answer with my eyes.

"I am not to tell anyone my name nor who I am, regardless of the situation or the person. I can tell you, but I'd have to ensure you would have forgotten it by morning" he looked concerned as if he wanted to tell me.

He disappeared as quickly as when he appeared with a whisper; "Amenadiel...".

"Mummy, are you okay? I heard you yelling" Rosco looked confused and scared.

"Oh no Silly, I was just watching a TV show, the girl must've sounded just like mummy". I smiled and propped Rosco up onto my knee.
