Two months after my photography of Will and Lorna went viral, I had to hire a manager for myself because I couldn't keep up with all the requests that started coming in. I followed my gut and hired an older female who started over in life as my manager. She was a photographer herself but had a reputation of being an amazing manager for those who she did manage. Ryan suggested her to me because he ended up hiring her himself. Krys Meredith was in her late 40s, moved away from her family after her kids had grown and started over all on her own.

She had a tendency to manage musicians second careers for them and she did an amazing job managing Ryan and Ricky on their solo projects away from Motionless in White, as well Nicholas Ruffilo of Bad Omens and Travis Johnson of In This Moment. I had never considered directing or designing music videos, but she convinced me to give it a try. I See Stars had made a huge comeback this year and were preparing to finally release their new album. I got hired as their principal photographer for their album and to film their latest single, Are We 3ven?

Working with Devin Oliver was amazing. He followed my directions so easily and gave amazing face for the photographs and video. In all honesty, I didn't care for California, except for wine country. But I have been out here for the past two weeks working with I See Stars on this video and the photography. Their label gave me two weeks to get the video and all principal photography done.

"When are you going on tour," I asked Devin as we were in between breaks.

"Next month, for the entire month of September."

"Are you excited?"

"Yes, extremely. Hey, you know what?"
"What's that?"

"If I can clear it, would you like to go on tour with us and be our touring photographer?"

I jerked my head at him; "Seriously?"

"Nova, your photography is insane. I would love to see what you would do with touring."

"Have you seen my Motionless in White and Sleep Token photos?"

"No. Holy shit, can I see it?"

"Yeah sure," I said and grabbed my laptop.

I opened up the folder that had the photos in it and passed him the laptop.

"Just scroll from the right. That will give me some time to make some adjustments."

My shorts and crop top flowed around my skin as I kept the set cold. I hated being hot. One of the PA's came walking up to me.

"Nova?"

"Yes?"

"The band has guests that are asking to come in."

"Devin?"

"Yeah?"

"Guest?"

"No idea."

"I guess they can sit at the monitors with me if they can behave. What's your name, sweetheart?"

"Gage, ma'am."

"Don't ma'am, me, Gage. How many are there?"

"Four."

"Ah, well, I supposed it will be alright if they're friends of Devin."

"I'll bring them in."

"Nova, these photos are incredible."

"Thank you. Now gimme and go back to your mark."

He handed me the laptop and walked back to his mark. Holding my laptop, I followed him. Okay, I want you to hold out your left arm towards the camera for me. Jackson, bring the camera close. The camera came up right behind me and stopped. Turn those laser lights on over him and make it dark."
