Aether's pov

Today was the day, the day I confess to Xiao.

Paimon: you can do this traveler! I can tell he wouldn't reject someone like you!

Aether: thanks paimon but you've said that 3 times already

Paimon: Paimon's just trying to make you less nervous! Be grateful!

Aether: be grateful I still gives you food

Paimon: Why you-

Paimon was cut off by Xiao opening the door.

Xiao: What did you need? He asked

And oh my god I was shaking of nervousness

Paimon: I'm gonna leave you two now good luck Paimon said whispering to me

After that she just flew off and left me and Xiao alone in the room

Xiao: So..?

Aether: I umm I didn't know what I was doing I just stood there completely lost words

Aether: Xiao...since the day we met I've been thanking even the unknown god for trapping me here...under the same sky, the same world, the same stars as you. And I never want to leave your side so will you be the love of my life? (Omg how the fuck did I think of that 😨)

After I made my long as$ speech I can for sure tell that Xiao was speechless. Looking at his face the fear inside me grew bigger what if I get rejected? No that can't be right...

Xiao: Why me?

Aether: eh?

Xiao: why me out of everyone?

Aether: Because there is no one who is like you. I only love you Xiao

Xiao: No Aether, I will just hurt you. You deserve someone better than me.

As he said that I could feel something broke inside me. I could tell he was holding back his tears.

And before I knew it he was gone.

Xiao's pov

I teleported out of the room as fast as possible 'gosh why did I do that' I said to myself.

I've always liked Aether but I was never ready to actually date...

'damn it Xiao, you idiot that was the only chance of getting Aether' I said to myself still annoyed.

But I knew one thing Aether wasn't a kind of person who easily let go he will be trying again and again till I accept his confession

Third person pov

As Aether just stands there completely broken Paimon rushed into the room hugging Aether's neck

Paimon: Omg traveler I didn't know he would stand up to you like that! I'm so sorry

Aether: Is ok Paimon is not your fault...Maybe he's just not ready yet

That night Aether didn't get a bit of sleep and was crying all night along while Paimon was besides him comforting him whenever he needs it

1:20 am.

Aether's pov

I was still sobbing in bed as I noticed that Paimon has fallen asleep

I realized that because I was crying all night Paimon also didn't get any sleep...

I felt bad for her and decided to try going to sleep but ended up staying awake till 4 am but after that I finally got some sleep

5:50 am.

Paimon: Traveler! Traveler wake up! I heard a little voice

Aether: Mhm? What is it Paimon I asked slowly opening my eyes

Paimon: Well since you were so heart broken last night I decided to board us a trip back to Mondstadt!

Aether: Paimon...you didn't need to do it you know...

Paimon: You need some rest and Paimon want to see Amber and others again!

Well I guess this could be a little fun trip
