Aether au

Back when i was six my mom left me at an orphanage saying she would come back but she never did. When 8 and this family have came to adopt me.

Before i left i gave my best friend a friendship bracelet  so in the future maybe we can meet again. He clearly didn't want me to leave but we couldn't do anything.

I am now 18, living with my foster family and have a cute dog. Ofc i am still wearing the friendship bracelet but i am 100% sure we won't meet again.

Third person

*ding ding ding*

"aw man the school bell already rang! i was done talking!" Amber complained about the school bell ringing whie she was in the middle of saying something.

"Is alright amber we can talk again at lunch time" Aether smiled. "*sigh* i guess..well then bye Aether! I'll be heading off" Amber waved and walked off to her class.

 As Aether entered the classroom he noticed that a boy was sitting by the window...beside his seat. A majestic green haired boy.. he looked quite.. familiar 

Aether walked up to him "Hey! you must be new here. I'm aether!" as the 'unknown' boy turned around and faced him(ae) Aether thought to himself 'holy he's cute' and a small blush formed on his face.

"Oh..I'm Xiao" the boi replied. And just as he said that miss Lisa who is their science teacher entered the room.

"Alright class, new student will be joining us! stand up and introduce yourself cutie" 'is this really necessary?' xiao muffled to himself then stood up and introduced himself. 

"Thank you, now we will be doing group project together. The person sitting besides you will be your partner for the project" Lisa said and started explaining about the project.

"Oh well i guess we're partners then!" Aether smiled brightly while Xiao just nodded. 

After the class

"So..what do you say about eating together?" Aether said smiling waiting for Xiao. "Um sure?" "Yay!" Aether screamed and dragged Xiao out the door as if they already were best friends.

"Aether? Who is he?" Venti smirked at the two. "He's the new student or i guess you can say my friend" 

 "are you planning on replacing me Aether?!" Amber gasped. "No no ofc not, besides why would i replace you you're the one who helped me since i came here!" Aether sighed.

"Ok ok let's just go eat i'm starving!!" Scaramouche said annoyed. 

As they were eating Xiao noticed the bracelet on Aether's wrist. Aether noticed Xiao was looking at it and asked "is something wrong?" "no it just looked like the bracelet someone special to me gave me" Xiao just shook his head and continued eating.

After they ate Aether asked if Xiao wants to come over after school for the project and he agreed. 

After school

Aether waited for Xiao and they both went to Aether's house. "My parents aren't really home right now so make yourself at home ok?" he said.

"wolf wolf!!" a dog immediately jumped on him once he opened the door. "Good evening paimon" Aether smiled. 

Xiao looked around in surprise of how cosy the house is.

After that they went to Aether's room and started working on the project.  "No you have to do like this" "No you have to put that there!" as they were auguring they heard the front door open.

"Oh looks like my parents are home" they both went down stairs.

"Oh hey honey i see you brought a friend home?" his mother (keep in mind is his foster mom) said. "Yes mother we're working on a project we're finish now"Look Aether i should probably go" Xiao said whispering almost unable to hear

"Why?" Aether asked "is late and my parents are gonna be mad" "aw man ok"

As Xiao left the house and on to the road he was so lost in thoughts he didn't realized a car was coming. Worse the driver was drunk.

"Xiao!" Aether shouted and pushed Xiao off the road and the car hit him instead. 

As Xiao watched Aether getting hit by the car and bleeding, he held him(ae) in his hands and tears fell from his eyes 

'ah, I remember now...those bracelets were our friendship bracelets'

A/N

I'm sorry the ending sucks but i really needed to update this book and i have been writing this for a few months now😭

But im pretty sure the next chapter will be fluff :D
