Why me pt:1

(TWO YEARS LATER)

Narrative POV:
It's 2009, and Ronnie is now 19 years old
It's been two years since Cole left, and Ronnie hasn't been the same since then she turned really angry, bitter, sarcastic, it really hurt Ronnie when Cole left cause she really believed that her and Cole would be able to work things out,
Ronnie and all of her friends dropped out of school, after Cole left everyone changed, they kept starting fights, started ending up in jail or got suspended from school so they all decided to quit school and just start working deadbeat jobs

Ronnie still worked at the car garage, emmett and alex went to work with her and Lila, Dream, and Bones worked in a small diner, Ronnie's life was still the same but it was slowly getting worse, Jack moved in and he was always beating Ronnie and her mother was still always gone, Mateo is ten years old and Lucy is 7 now and most of the time they live with their grandmother cause Ronnie didn't trust Jack to watch them
Not a day went by that Ronnie didn't think of Cole, he was always on her mind, after Cole left, Ronnie went to her room and packed up everything that Cole gave her, even the Charm box, Cole bought Ronnie the charm box on her 16th birthday, it was silver and when you opened it there was a little ballerina that would spin and play soft music, Ronnie would use the charm box to hide money in but Ronnie mother knew that so Ronnie had to find a new hiding spot plus Ronnie didn't want to have anything that reminded her of Cole, last thing she heard about Cole was that he moved down to New york city and started a new job with high pay raise and started living with rich people

Ronniel's POV:
I wake up to my loud alarm clock, i wake up, stop my clock, and sit up on my bed
I look outside my window it's a nice summer wednesday morning, so i get up and get ready for the day, i put on a white korse top and wear black denim jeans and added black suspenders and wear a black zip up sweater with sneakers
And i went off to work, finally i got there and Alex was already there

"Hey Ron" Alex said

"Hey, where's Em?" i asked

"He ain't coming in today he said he's got some stuff to do, so you and i got some over time" alex said, sounding annoyed

"Okay"

"You ain't mad?" Alex asked me

"No, I need the cash. Why? Are you?" i replied

"Yeah i am, i wanted to meet up with Bones and head to the arcade" i rolled my eyes and started working on some old cars
As the hours went by, it was 6 pm, and finally, it was quitting time
We all went to the diner to hang out, and Lila and the others were off work too, so we all got to hang out, emmett showed up an hour late, but he was there

"Hey fools, what ya doin'?" Emmett asked

"Nothing, just fixing to order dinner. Where have you been?" Lila asked

"Had to help my ol' man with the house"
So we all just talked and eat dinner after awhile we started getting tired so we all got ready to go home after Cole left some of us had to work second jobs, we all were struggling to put food on the table, Cole was always there to help out but now not anymore

"Hey Ronnie, need a ride home?" Lila asked

"Nah, imma take the bus, see yal tomorrow goodnight" I replied, after Cole left i distance myself from everyone except Lila, Lila was like a sister to me i could never turn my back on her
When i arrived home i noticed my mom was home, but Jack wasn't which was weird, Jack never left the house he lost his job due to his struggle with alcohol, he didn't have any family so where could he have gone

"Mama?" I called out

"Hey" i noticed that my mom looked really scared and nervous

"What's wrong, is it your job?" I asked
