Barbara's head rested heavily on her desk, her temples pulsing with the weight of a sleepless night. She tried to sleep last night, but the image of the boy with copper hair and blue eyes kept popping in her head. The pounding ache in her skull seemed to echo, she knew she shouldn't have gone out with Joel when she has a Mathematics test. As her mind wandered, tangled in regret, she couldn't help but feel the weight of the pending Mathematics test bearing down on her, but she is sure she will do very well. With a weary exhale, she released her burdened thoughts into the still air of the classroom, her head sinking lower onto the cool surface of the desk.

"He is here." Barbara thought as she raised her head up. Someone opened the door and her heart skipped a beat as her eyes met the familiar gaze of the blue-eyed boy. The air was crackled with unexplained energy, leaving her mystified. How could she feel his presence before even glimpsing him? She felt his aura but how? She furrowed her brow, racking her memory for any signs that she had seen him before but her mental canvas remained blank. She wasn't surprised that he had come to Sugar Hill Academy, he looked wealthy. His uniform was black. His suit, shirt, tie, shoe, everything was black . The only white in his uniform was an edge of his shirt collar. Unlike Liam's uniform, that was all white except from his black tie.

As she was still engrossed in him, she noticed Amelia rushing towards him and she hugged him tightly, letting his name delicately slip from her lips. Unfortunately, Barbara strained to catch the faint whisper of the blue-eyed boy's name. It was as if the universe teased her, denying her access to his name. She didn't know the reason she wants to know his name so badly.

"I've missed you." Amelia muttered as she pulled away. Barbara eyes spotted something shining on his chest. It was a golden badge. She placed her hand on her mouth. Was he the person Amelia said was irrelevant? Who is he? These thoughts danced in Barbara's head for a long time. Then she saw Joelle going to meet him, it seems they are friends.

"Hazel." He said with his deep voice.

"No, it's Joelle now." Joelle said with a warm smile and Barbara couldn't help but smile too.

"It seems you have come to your senses." He whispered in Joelle's ear and Joelle punched him on his shoulder and let out a faint smile. He walked over to Joel who was clearly ignoring him.

"Joel." He simply said but Joel just glanced at him then looked away, Barbara has never seen Joel like this before.

"Joel."

"What do you want?"

"You haven't seen me for two years and that is the first thing you say to me. Don't tell me you are still angry, that was a long time ago, you ought to have forgotten about it by now." He said and Joel scoffed. Barbara looked away, it seemed that had a beef. Amelia walked to Barbara and stood in front of her.

"Do you know who that is?" Amelia asked as her eyes sparkled with excitement.

"What do you think?" Barbara responded sarcastically, her eyes clearly telling Amelia that she had no idea who he is.

"Well. He is the son of Cináed Synclair." Barbara jaws dropped. Cináed Synclair is the founder of Sugar Hill Academy, she read about him in the library, it says that he poured his heart and soul into building the school, all on his own dime, without help from anybody. According to the book, he built the school to be a haven for gifted students from all over the world, but apparently in real life, this school is a playground for spoiled rich kids. But it doesn't mean that the school doesn't drill their students in high standards that Barbara could ever imagine.

"Oh goodness, we are going to have a mathematics test today." Amelia said with her hands on her face, then she continued.

"I don't think you will be able to the best in this test. He is the best mathematician I've ever seen. He was nicknamed the god of mathematics before he left." Barbara's eyes widened, she didn't really study hard for this test so she was sure that she didn't stand a chance against the blue-eyed guy in this test, if what Amelia said was true. As Barbara was about to ask for his name, a teacher entered the classroom and Amelia went to her seat.
