As she awakens in darkness, her body aching, she brushed her fingers on her bed and it was sweat-soaked, she realizes she's had a nightmare. Struggling to recall it, she decides to set it aside and heads for a shower. Placing her hand on the door, her heart races, and she's drenched in sweat. She opens the door and faces her reflection in the mirror. A chill runs through her as she sees the words, "Would you be my valentine?" written on it.
"Wait is that blood?"......

----------------------------------------------------------------

"Barbara, you've got this! Be brave," she whispered to herself, taking determined steps towards the principal's office. Navigating through the vast school was a challenge, but the weird looking maps posted on every corner of the hall guided her way. She mustered up the courage to knock on the door and patiently waited for the invitation to enter.

"Welcome to Sugar Hill Academy, Miss Barbara Adams," said a woman in her mid-forties with a warm smile. She introduced herself as Celine Smith, the principal of the school.

"You did amazing on your entrance exam, which is why you've been awarded a scholarship to our school. I have high expectations for your academic performance, but don't worry, I'll support you every step of the way. Expulsion is only a last resort, so let's focus on your success instead!" Principal Smith reassured Barbara with a smile. Barbara's heart skipped a beat after hearing that she could be expelled if she didn't meet up to their expectations, she nodded her head in response.

"Joel, I've been waiting for you for thirty minutes what is your reason for coming late. Please don't waste any more time. Barbara, Joel here is the Hall monitor and will show you around the school and take you to your class." Barbara was surprised to hear the principal talking to someone else in her office and noticed that Joel had entered without knocking. She thought to herself, "He didn't even knock, how rude. He must be one of those rich, spoiled brats." As Joel opened the door for her to leave, Barbara rolled her eyes and walked away.

As they walked through the hallway, Joel desperately tried everything possible to catch Barbara's attention. However, she ignored him completely, she had come to this school to study and become successful not to make friends. With the fear of expulsion looming over her, Barbara had no time to make friends.

"You are Barbara Adams, Am I right?". Joel eagerly asked Barbara, but she remained expressionless and avoided eye contact. Joel, felt a bit hurt, but decided not to say anything about her reaction. Undeterred, he proudly mentioned that he knew about her scholarship to Sugar Hill Academy because he is the Hall monitor. However, Barbara continued to ignore him, acting like he didn't exist. Despite her indifference, Joel continued to talk about how fortunate she was to receive a scholarship to their school. Joel, undeterred by Barbara's irritation, noticed that she started walking faster.

"Seems like you know the way to the classroom". He casually remarked. Surprisingly, Barbara slowed down and matched Joel's pace. Curious, Joel asked why she didn't talk much.

"Maybe you should ask yourself why you never seem to be quiet, even when I clearly have no interest in talking to you, damn it!" Filled with anger, Barbara snapped back. Joel paused for a moment, then continued walking. He couldn't help but think to himself, "So she does have a voice," with a smile on his face. Everywhere went quiet after that, until Joel bent down started panting heavily, in between even heavy breath were little moans of pain. Barbara was scared, she didn't know what to do. She tried shaking him but he didn't respond.

"Errmm........hey dude....... I don't....... I... I don't even know your name, how will I tell anyone that you are in trouble ....... Or something". Barbara stammered nervously, she had never been in a situation like this. She tried to pull him up, he felt really light because he clearly stood up himself. He looked up to her.

"My name is Joel Davidson, and can I be your friend?". Joel said with a pityful face. Now this time Barbara was really mad.

"This is my first day and I would not like to create a scene, and besides that was way too cringe, how long does it take to get to my class, Joel Davidson?" Barbara replied angrily, 'i will make you my friend............. Barbara Adams, no matter what it takes, I always get what I want', Joel thought to himself with a smirk on his face.

They finally reached their class in less than thirty seconds and Barbara was pissed to find out that they are classmates. She rolled her eyes and muttered "Oh great".

In the classroom
------------------------------
"Yo, looks like my man Joey has found himself a girlfriend, what's the name of your fine looking chick Joey?". A boy with thick eyebrows, short black hair, and charming black eyes said grining at both Joel and Barbara sheepishly. Joel gives him a sly wink, that got everyone in the class laughing and bombarding them with silly questions. Barbara, being the cool cucumber she is, ignores all of them and plops down at the only empty sit, which was beside Joel. 'Talk about convenient', she thought to herself sarcastically. A teacher entered the class, greets the class, but that didn't stop the noise her classmates were making. The teacher scanned the room until she found Barbara.

The teacher, with a serious expression on her face, points at Barbara and asks her to introduce herself to the class. It seems like the teacher was already tired of dealing with the rowdy bunch.

As soon as Barbara stepped forward to introduce herself, the entire class went silent.

As Barbara Adams confidently stepped forward, her introduction echoed through the classroom "Hi everyone, my name is Barbara Adams". Since she didn't mention any of her father's possessions or recent acquisitions. It became evident to her classmates that she had earned a scholarship to attend the school-a rare and prestigious accomplishment.

Curiosity sparked within one student, who couldn't resist asking if she got a scholarship. Yet, Barbara, composed and unfazed, chose to ignore the inquiry, gracefully making her way to her designated seat. The air was thick with intrigue, leaving her classmates eager to uncover more about this enigmatic scholar. She heard many side comments saying that she was rude but she couldn't care less.
