Chapter 8: Movie

The next time Garmadon attacked it wasn't as easy. Garmadon had a brand new mech and ascended the tower. To make matters worse, Lloyd used the Ultimate Weapon and unleashed I giant cat monster. Garmadon took the Ultimate Weapon and used it against you and the Ninja. The monster took out your mechs one by one, but since you didn't have a mech it swatted you off your bike, throwing you into the near by rubble. Your leg burned with pain and your vision swam. Everything was blurry and your ears rang. Then you heard voices.

"Y/n? Oh no, she's hurt!" Nya has here?

You heard another voice. "Is she gonna make it?" Kai.

You felt something touch your leg. "Ah!" You groaned in pain.

"Shh, it's okay," Nya said calmly. "Your leg has a large gash in it. I'm bandaging it up."

You tried sitting up but you almost blacked out.

"Whoa, easy, Y/n." Kai said putting his hand on your back to support you.

"What happened?" You said slowly.

"Lloyd used the Ultimate Weapon." Nya said tying your bandage. "It unleashed that monster and destroyed our mechs!" She looked at you. "All done. Do you think you can walk?"

You stood up and a sharp pain shot through your injured leg.

"We'll help you." Kai put your arm over his shoulders and Nya did the same. It was awkward and slow but you made your way to the warehouse. When you arrived everyone else was too.

"Y/n!" Cole ran to you. He took you from Kai and Nya and held you close. "What happened?"

"That thing got her good," Kai said. "We found her with her leg messed up."

Zane and Jay came over but the Blue Ninja quickly ran away covering his mouth. Zane administered disinfectant spray to the wound. You noticed Lloyd sitting by the edge of the water and tried to go over to him, but Cole still had to support you. When you made it over there Lloyd smiled and laughed with relief. "Guys, you're okay!"

"Barely." Nya scoffed.

"You used the Ultimate Weapon?" Cole said holding you tightly. "Not cool."

"We were the only people who didn't hate you, and now we hate you!" Jay said.

"Deleting all data related to treating Lloyd as a friend." Zane said sadly.

Lloyd sighed. "Guys, I'm sorry. I messed up, and now Master Wu is dead."

"I'm not dead." Said a familiar voice behind you.

You all turned around. "Master Wu!"

"You're alive!" Lloyd said. 

"Duh," Wu said. "I'm a Ninja master. If I was gonna die, it would be to teach you all a lesson. Lloyd," Wu turned to his nephew. "You have awakened Meowthra!"

"Meowthra?"

"Six toed, fluffy demon. The only way to stop her is the Ultimate Ultimate Weapon, hidden deep in the jungle."

"The jungle?" You asked. "On the other side of the island?"

Wu explaining how treacherous the journey was didn't stop you from trying to follow him.

"Master Wu, wait!" You said. You pulled away from Cole to chase after him only to collapse in pain. Wu turned around and saw your wound, his eyes widening. He unwrapped Nya's bandage.

"It is a deep wound, but I think I have something for it. Zane, go fetch me my teapot and herbal mix." 

"Yes, Master."

Lloyd came over and saw your gash. He paled. "Y/n, I didn't- I'm so sorry."

"It's fine." You grunted. You were pretty mad at him, but you were mostly in pain. Cole kneeled next to you and put his hands on your shoulders. Lloyd looked away and Zane returned. He had already made the tea and gave it to you to drink.

You shuddered as you drank it in one go. "Ugh, it tastes like a buzzards butt." But it did start to heal your leg, slowly but surely, the gash started closing. "We have to come with you, Master Wu!" You said standing up. Cole still had to support you but your leg didn't hurt as bad. Your comment led to a string of reasons of why you and the Ninja should go.

Wu sighed. "Do you think you are ready to trust Lloyd?"

"Uhh..."

"Mmm mmm."

"No way."

Wu turned to his nephew. "You have a long way to go to earn your friends' trust."

Lloyd looked at his feet.

"Lucky," Wu continued. "We have a long journey a head of us."

Lloyd smiled. "Thank you, Master Wu, thank you."

Wu turned to the rest of you and became serious. " Are you ready to go on the dangerous journey?"

"Yes!"

"Maybe..."

"Of course!"

You all started off but Cole held you back for a moment.

"Are you sure you're up for this?" He asked. His eyebrows were furrowed with worry.

You smiled teasingly. "What, you think I don't have what it takes?"

Cole stared at you with concern in his eyes. "I don't want you to push yourself too hard."

Your smile faded as it dawned on you. Cole was scared you'd get hurt. You saw how worried he was when you first came over with Kai and Nya supporting you, but you hadn't realized how much it actually shook him. "Cole," You said softly. "I'll be okay."

His gaze bored into you. "Promise me that you won't do anything dangerous."

"Cole, we're ninja's, our job is dangerous."

He gripped you tighter. "Promise me." 

You saw the fear in his eyes clearly now. He was so quiet most the time. He'd laugh and talk a little with the others, but he never showed this side of him. Vulnerable. He was only open to you and you didn't know if that was because he trusted you or because he didn't want to loose you, maybe it was both. Whatever it was it made you agree not to do anything dangerous.

"I promise." You said.

He relaxed slightly and his gaze softened. "Thank you."

"C'mon, we need to catch up to the others." You said smiling.

His smile returned as you and him followed the others through the jungle
