Christmas Special

Christmas. It was a wonderful time of year. The snow was falling, sparkling decorations coated the streets, and a merry feeling was in the air. Today was Christmas Eve and you were spending it at Cole's place. Every year on that day his father hosted a party that consisted of Lou, Cole, Cole's grandparents (mom's side), and Cole's aunt's family (mom's side).

Cole told you that it was fairly casual, so you wore your best jeans and sweater. You grabbed your bag and put Cole's gift in it; a carefully wrapped vinyl record of High Voltage, AC/DC'S first album, the only one he didn't have.

"When will you be back?" Your mom asked as you opened the door.

"Uh, I think before nine." You said. You weren't sure how long a Brookstone Christmas lasted.

"Okay, be safe." She said.

"Okay, Mom, see you later." You headed out the door.

Cole's POV

"Mikey, no!" I said as my younger cousin bounced around my room. He and his little sister, Emilia, were playing tag and getting too close to my valubles for my liking.

"You'll never get me!" Mikey said. He had dark curly hair cropped short and a mischievous gleam in his brown eyes. He was eight but he tried to act like a teenager when ever he was around me.

Emilia giggled as she chased him around. She also had dark curly hair, but hers was just past her chin and tied back with a bow. She was six and she was my favorite cousin. She liked my music and didn't mind just chilling. But not today apparently.

Mikey ran across my bed and knocked over a picture on my night stand.

"Hey, watch it!" I said grabbing the picture before it hit the floor. A soft smile spread across my face as I looked at it. It was a picture of me and Y/n. My arm was wrapped around her and she had a wide smile on her face with her hair flowing behind her. I probably had a look on my face that matched the one in the picture; complete adoration.

"Is that your girlfriend?" Mikey asked bouncing on my bed.

I rolled my eyes. "Yes, and she's coming over soon so you better be nice."

Mikey continued jumping.  "Is she a Ninja too?"

"Yes, but she won't use her powers on you like I will if you don't leave my stuff alone." I said slightly threatening him.

"Gotta catch me first!" Mikey jumped off my bed and ran around.

"Alright, c'mere." I said as I grabbed him by the collar of his shirt. I threw him over my shoulder.

"Hey, no fair!" He said squirming.

I grabbed Emilia by the waist and picked her up, tickling her slightly.

"You can't use your super strength on us!" Mikey protested as I carried them out of my room.

Emilia giggled and smiled up at me.

"What did they do this time?" My Aunt Rosa asked when she saw me handling her kids.

"Nothing much, Tía," I said setting them down. "Just getting a little too rowdy in my room."

Tía Rosa chuckled. "Well, you seem to have it covered." She went into the kitchen to help my dad.

"When's that girlfriend of your supposed to get here?" My Uncle Antonio asked.

I glanced at the clock. "She should be here soon."

"Oh, yes! I forgot she was coming!" My Grandma said happily. "What's she like?"
