The sun was already high in the sky when Castiel woke up. He opened his eyes, stretching as he sat up. Cas remembered that Dean was beside him, likely asleep still. He turned his head towards where Dean was laying and took in his sleeping figure. "Good morning, Dean." Castiel smirked, finding happiness in knowing Dean was alright. He took a second to move, then stood up. There wasn't much for him to do in the bunker, and he felt awkward, despite him and Dean developing some sort of friendship. Dean is still asleep when Cas moves.
"Stay...." Dean says in half-asleep.
Castiel raised his eyebrows, not expecting that response from Dean. He walked over to Dean. "...Dean, I wasn't planning on going anywhere. I was just about to wake you up."
He sat back down. "I just got up to see how you are feeling this morning."
His voice was quiet. Cas didn't want to wake Dean right away. But he also couldn't deny that he wanted to speak with him more. They hadn't talked much together in quite some time. He looked at Dean, who still slept. He wanted nothing more than to wake him up, but Cas had patience. Cas plays with Dean's hair in hopes of waking him softly. It was apparent that Dean enjoyed this. As he slowly woke up, he kept his eyes closed in an apparent effort to hold onto sleep just a little longer. After a second, he cracked open one eye, giving Castiel a sleepy look.
"...Morning." He sighed contently. He sat up, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. He looked at Castiel, still sitting on the couch next to him. "What time is it?"
Cas looks at his watch. "Quater to 8."
Dean sits up. With a yawn, he rubs his face. "...I slept in late." He looks around the room, his eyes finally settling on Castiel. "What are you doing here, Cas?"
His voice was still half asleep sounding, but he seemed happy. Dean's face was a sight to see. Despite the lack of sleep and the dark circles under his eyes, he was smiling slightly.
"What's for breakfast?" Dean asked.
Let's see, we have... some eggs, bacon, and coffee. Take your pick." Cas responded. He was happy to see how much better Dean seemed. Dean's face was much more lively than it had been the day prior. He seemed happier. And that, in turn, made Cas happy.
"All of them." Dean said with a smile.
He laughed at Dean's words. "You want all of them?" He was more than happy to cook for Dean, or anyone for that matter. Dean laughs, and Cas smiles because of how cute it is. He got up to get things ready. Dean, on the other hand, went to take a shower. Cas took a second to put some things together for breakfast for the both of them. Bacon, eggs, toast, and of course coffee. While Cas was putting things together, Dean came out of the bathroom, now wearing a fresh pair of clothes. As he walked through the door, Cas noticed Dean seemed more relaxed. He was still a little tired, but he seemed calmer.
"Breakfast looks delicious, Cas. Thanks, man." Dean said with a chuckle.
Cas blushes a little and nods.
"Just happy to help. It's no problem." Cas said.
Dean looks at his food and finishes it quickly. He then walks to Cas and gives him a look. A look that he's begging for. He can't seem to get rid of a reddish face, and Cas gives him a concerning face.
"Cas, i need to say something....." Dean says with blush.
"You don't have to say it. I heard your prayer."
Dean blushes red and goes to sit at the table. He covers his face so Cas can't see his blushing red face.
Cas laughs, and Dean looks up at him with sadness.
"Oh, Dean. It's not like that. I'm just surprised you didn't realize I could hear it."
Dean looks back down and covers his face again. Cas chuckles and goes to sit next to him and rubs his back.
"It's alright, Dean." Cas said, then leaned into his ear.
