When your eyes opened, the room was still dark, but not dark to the point it was 3am. It was most likely 6.

With winters in sumeru, the sun rose at 7 and the sun went down at 4pm. It was so weird.

You knew you wouldn't go back to sleep, so you took a quick look at your boyfriend, who had light snores coming out of him with a little drool.

You giggled to yourself and made your way out of the bed slowly and carefully, fixing the blankets on him.

Heading to the kitchen, you noticed the guest bedroom door was opened. You took a peep inside and saw Signora in the bed but no Pantalone and he wasn't in any room.

You noticed his shoes were gone and concluded he must've went up to go see his dad. Maybe that's what woke you up so early, knowing something was different.

You slowly closed the door to the room, making sure not to wake up Signora.

In the living room, Diluc seemed dead asleep while Kaeya lay on his side, looking at tik toks. It made you snort, "you want coffee?" You whispered, voice sore which made you grimace. You needed something to drink

"Do you remember how I like it?" He asked.

"3 sugars, 2 creams?" The both of you said in unison, chuckling.

"Black for me." Another voice spoke and you already knew.

It was scary when Diluc could seem literally dead but he's really just awake.

You nodded, taking our what you needed as you flipped on the switch to the coffee-maker. You turned on a little lamp in the corner of the room as you pulled the blinds open.

"Since when do you wake up so early, Kae?" You asked, waiting for the machine to heat up.

"Working as a psychologist isn't as fun as people say," You could practically hear him roll his eyes.

"Working as a detective isn't either. Yours seems harder, I'll admit."

"How is work?" Diluc asked, now sitting up and leaning against the couch.

You sighed. "Horrible."

Kaeya now sat up, turning to look at you. "Don't you work with cyno and Alhaitham,"

You nodded, "It's not about them though. They're great, it's just the coworkers."

"What about them?" Diluc asked.

You walked back into the kitchen, the machine now on as you poured the first cup for Diluc. Black was the easiest to make.

"They're like...Heizou."

You could hear both men wince which made you snort.

"Obviously not as like...crazy, but they're just really sexist, rude and honestly they're obsessed about when I have sex with alhaitham."

They then gagged which made you pause in pouring the coffee to start laughing. You quickly poured one for alhaitham; he loved black coffee, but he liked it iced.

He's just weird like that

"Yeah," You smiled truthfully, grabbing another cup along with creams and sugars for you and Kaeya.

You grabbed a cup for Signora too. You weren't that rude, and Pantalone probably went out to breakfast with Pierro and Capitano.

Thé mention of the eldest made you wonder how he's been. You haven't spoken to him in a while. Last you caught up with him was 2 weeks ago.

You didn't need to worry about breakfast. For sure Cyno and Tighnari would be here soon and they'll definitely bring some stuff.

You made your way out of the kitchen holding their cups of coffee, them both thanking you and you just smiled.
