When Kaveh heard banging at his door at 4 in the morning, he was ready to shoot someone and then shoot himself, only to find Dehya and Alhaitham at their doors, and Alhaitham with bloodshot eyes.

"So, what happened?" Kaveh asked as he fluffed up pillows on the couch. Dehya had fallen asleep in her own room with Candace.

"Y/N and I broke up." He said breathlessly, sitting down once Kaveh finally finished setting up the couch to look absolutely perfect.

His eyes widened as he stared at Alhaitham in shock. "O-oh, I'm sorry..."

And just like that, Alhaitham broke out in tears once again and Kaveh immediately sat down beside him, trying to comfort him.

Keyword; trying.

Sure, Kaveh and Alhaitham seemed like they hated each other but in reality they were really close and at the end of the day, after all the countless and pointless arguments, they had each others backs.

It was just...odd. They hadn't ever been truly vulnerable around each other.

So he just wrapped an arm around his friend, and Alhaitham started to sob into his shoulder, and Kaveh let him, no complaints or snarky comments.

Well, maybe one comment.

"God, I knew you were never mindful but I didn't think you were also a loud crier- you'll wake Candace and Dehya up."

Kaveh smiled when he felt Alhaitham start to laugh. "I fucking hate you." He muttered out.

Kaveh laughed, hugging his friend back. "I hate you too, asshole."

"Gank."

"Whore."

"Dipshit."

Suddenly, a door opened and Candance was standing at the doorframe, too tired to see the tears on Alhaitham and only caring about her sleep. The sound of Dehya snoring could be heard behind her.

"If you two don't shut the fuck up I will make you."

She waited for one of them to nod before she immediately went back into her room, closing the door.

They both looked at each other before they began to laugh, stifling it so Candance wouldn't come back out and they began to clutch on to each other for life, trying to hold it back.

Once regaining their composure, they leaned back on the couch, shoulders touching as they let themselves deflate.

Alhaitham's tears kept flowing, but this time he wasn't sobbing. He just didn't have the strength to stop them.

He let out a long sigh. "I can't believe I broke up with her."

Suddenly Kaveh jumped. "Woah- I thought like, it was mutual or she did after that fight you two had- why the hell did you break up with her?!" He whisper-yelled, too afraid of Candace.

Alhaitham just dragged a hand down his face, smearing his tears. "I- I- Kaveh I'm the worst boyfriend ever!"

"You literally drove all the way to Inazuma for her, got arrested for her, almost died hundred times for her and gave her the courage to finally play the piano again and you say you're a horrible boyfriend?" Kaveh deadpanned, now leaning to the side on his arm to face his best friend who continued to stare up at the ceiling.
