We've been friends for seconds, minutes, hours, days, months, years, decades, and still, I have no idea where you've gone
Maybe it's me, maybe it's you
Do you remember when we used to go to the zoo? And look at the animals stuck in those cages, meanwhile, these moments were writing the pages of memories I will remember for ages
Do you remember when we said if we weren't married by 32, we would marry each other? Because I would still do that for you, by the way, how is your mother?
I know there's no excuse for the way that I treated you
But we never argued, never And I thought that you'd be my best friend forever
But forever doesn't last In my mind, our friendship was made out of glass
Once the pieces broke, they could never be put back together in a way that would be so very clever
That the water wouldn't slip through the cracks and break the friendship that would never last
