Chapter 13: Dirty Little Secrets

I stepped out of the closet leaving Latrice alone. I wondered around some unknown halls I haven't been to yet. They were mostly dark but lit with a few candles that were laid on some ongoing wooden yet fancy tables. It was like these specks of light were leading me somewhere...somewhere dangerous that I shouldn't be trespassing. I stopped when I saw stairs. Stairs that for sure haven't been stepped on for years. This part of the mansion was surely not cleaned or cared about since there was so much dust and cobwebs in various spots of the hallways or doors. There was this foul smell that got stronger and stronger every time is get past a wooden table with a candle. Once I got to the stairs, the smell was so strong, I think I even got blinded by it and felt my ears cover. I paused and took a deep breathe before stepping on the first step of the wooden stairs. I continued up slowly as it made a *creek* sound with every foot-step I took. I but my lip as I was half-ways up as the darkness took over. It was very cold up there too. This time I actually went a bit faster since the noises were creeping me out a bit by now. I made it up to the second floor which was quiet disturbing to see. There was absolutely no light except for one Small wax scented candle. I took it since it had a small golden plate with a handle. My heart thumped faster and faster going 4 beats per second. I put my hand over my chest with my left hand so I could calm myself down. This mansion had more than just two story's, it must have been way more higher than this! It was just a plain short hall. At the end of the hall was one finely-made wooden door with a silver door-knob. And some golden designs around it. I reached for it and slowly turned he door knob. But before I could fully open it, I realized I had my phone with me. I raised up the bloody dress and took out my phone form the shorts I wore under. I turned to the camera and turned on the flash. I took video as the flash lot up most of the room. The candle suddenly lost its light and turned off. The room started shaking violently and I stumbled backwards. Since the floor was wooden, my phone had seemed to fall hard and my screen cracked. "Nngh!" I groaned as I hit the side of my head at the side of the wall. My vision started blurring and there was a faint black by small shadow hovering over me. I could tell it must have been the little girl since she had the same black and bloody clothes from earlier when she died in front of me. She softly smiled at me and reached out a hand,"I think you should have my help, I will be at your aid and won't leave you until you want me to..just like you did for me so I will return the favor." I blinked but then took her hand which surprisingly I was able to actually touch and feel, unlike other ghosts and stuff your hand will just go through them. She was kind of strong too. It was awkward for a moment,"So why is this place so dark up here?" I questioned,"here and above has been abandoned for years ever since the last family were killed, they just weren't killed in the first floor for some unknown reason..they haunted above so no one ever dared to even set foot by the dark hall leading with candles," she began with another smile,"your actually the first youngest and bravest mortal to trespass the darkness and evil that lurks the top floors of this mansion..and I'm proud of that." Damn, for a small girl she was quiet wise and smooth with words, she chooses them carefully. I nodded and half-smiled,"thanks." She then pointed at the door and then the phone,"you can't use that gadget, you need to leave it here, I will also transform into a stuffed teddy bear, you will carry me and I will turn back into this form I am now when I need to tell you something or you need me." I nodded as she turned into a teddy bear and fell into my arms. The teddy bear turned to me and pointed at the door,"Go in there, don't worry I'm right here and I will be there for your aid if anything dares to hurt you." The teddy bears voice sounded very gentle and kind of boyish. I looked down at the teddy bear then back at the door. I turned the door knob and stepped into deeper darkness. "Hey...I need light." I mumbled to myself. Teddy then turned back at me and magically spawned a candle,"Here is a candle...or unless you want a flashlight?" I thought to myself,"Maybe a flashlight." The teddy bear shrugged and made the candle turn into a flashlight instead,"suit yourself, just warn me when the battery's go out." The teddy went limp again and I turned on the flashlight revealing stairs. I went up the stairs looking at all the cockroaches climbing and getting into open cracks in the wall. It was very nasty because they were somehow so big and slimy. You could hear when they crawl out and about. I made it up the third floor and another hall. There was a door that seemed to have a golden glow go around it for a moment,"Go in there, you will be experiencing and revealing the lore about this place and it's bittersweet history." Teddy said with a small smile. I sighed and went towards the door and opened it. Everything around me suddenly disappeared and turned into gray smoke around me, like fog. Then I appeared to be in a room by the doorway. Teddy turned back to me and rubbed the side of my arm trying to comfort me,"don't worry, I'm here, also your invisible to them so they can't see us, just like a ghost." I looked back and saw two people. There was a lady and a man. The both of them looked ready for something wrong..something very naughty. "So are you ready?" The male questioned rubbing his crotch. The lady smacked his hand from his crotch and smiled devilishly,"You have to wait~ we need the kids for this.." She giggled posing for the man. They then walked out the room and headed to the third floor. They went through us like dust,"Follow them." Teddy simply answered. I followed the strangers and ended up going to a big room. They locked the door behind them and there was at least three children strapped with ropes on the ankles, and wrists. They were nude, two were boys while one was a girl. One looked like James and the others looked related to him. I held the Teddy tightly in my arms. The woman took off her clothes and so did the man. So now they were all naked but the children were in fear,"No please..d-don't touch us...please n-not again!" The little blonde girl pleaded. The woman went to her and said,"I'm sorry Hun, but your just going to be pleasures today." The girl shook her head,"no I don't want to! Don't touch me!" The girl said wiggling around. The woman slapped her across her face and started furiously rubbing her down there,"Nope..I'm going to make you come soo many times." He woman said rubbing her like there's no tomorrow. The man went to the other blonde boy but left the other boy untouched. He started rubbing all his body forcing a French kiss on him. I put my hands over my mouth. Teddy then turned back to her normal self and hugged me. Then suddenly a few men came bursting in with shot-guns. "NOBODY MOVE!" The both of them stopped doing what they were doing before while the children cried. They shot the woman first right on her forehead, next was the man who was shot right below his stomach at least 30 times. They stepped to the kids,"we will help you..I'm sorry you had to go through this a man said as he untied all the children. They carried the kids in their arms and left running. I stared at the dead body's that lay bleeding on the floor,"wait...are those JAMES parents!?" The little girl nodded and held you tightly. "They were so sinister..they deserved being killed for their wrong-doings." She whispered which gave me a shiver. Everything then turned into a blur and we appeared back at the dark hallway. I turned on the flashlight to find a creepy figure standing only a few feet away looking down. "Are you dead too?" The creature whispered. I hesitated but then noticed why it asked that, my bloody dress, my scars, my paleness, and also my hair looked like pure crap. I realized the little girl turned back into a Teddy,"Tell it the truth...it will help you if your honest, if you lie to it, you will just be killed." She whispered. I turned to it and shook my head,"No..I'm alive." The creature approached me and I noticed it was the little girl who was getting rapped by the woman,"thank you for telling me the truth..your very beautiful." She added. I half smiled and nodded,"Are you going to kill James?" I felt my eyes widen but shook my head in confusion,"I'm not saying No nor yes." She frowned but nodded,"So you haven't seen the rest haven't you?" I shook my head.
