Chapter 19: I May Be A Threat, But I Didnt Do It

Something in me snapped just like that. It snapped like a broken bone would. It snapped like the broken bone Philip stepped on just now for being clumsy.

"Let's kill James." I repeated with a emotionless stare.

"But...I thought you sent the Demons to kill James-"

"-they are useless, they failed to protect my friends, just by looking at Joey you could tell they failed Meni." I stated.
She frowned and stared at the cold hard cement,"I never thought it would come to this."

I looked down at the little girl,"what do you mean? Wouldn't you have had a slight clue of this happening when you help me being lead to a place like this? Telling me and pointing out..'go to this, go to that, touch that, grab that?' Don't you recall that?" I said bitterly yet managed to keep my voice down. She backed away from me slowly,"...you aren't anything like I thought you would be, like I observed..." I didn't hesitate to step closer to her every time she backed up.

"You aren't that girl anymore Mina Sarah Mckenly...in fact I guess you never were, I was wrong pairing up with you...you disgust me in many ways." Meni said hissing every time I'd step closer to her. "Fuck you..your a disgrace to me anyways...useless fuck." I mumbled as I spat in her direction. Her eyes grew wide and she ended up smashing into the wall. She opened her mouth and tried to say something, but failed.

She pushed herself as much far away as she could from me. She would trip so many times but would get up and go to the farthest corner. I raised a thin eyebrow,'what's wrong with you?'
Philip did the same but scooted next to Meni. They were trembling so much and had fear written in big bold letters on their foreheads. I'm confused, are they afraid of me? Is it the darkness in the room? I looked back at them and saw Philip slowly but shakily raise a pointed finger. He seemed to be pointing at me, but not really, almost next or in back of me. I felt myself tense up as I felt cold breathe on my neck. I tilted my neck a bit as if I were allowing it to bite me like a vampire would.

But I meant to tilt my neck so I could get a better view of what was behind me. I felt something hit my behind gently but felt like just an accidental bump. I slowly walked 4 steps forward and then turned around. Once I had turned around, half of me regretted it while the other half felt bravery.

It was horror to my eyes. There was another body hanging proudly in front of me. This time, it was the little girl from the first flashback,"what the fuck..." I mumbled as I scanned the body from head to toe.

There was uncomfortable moment of silence bouncing around in the room. There would be quiet sounds here and there, such as shuffling or breathing. I looked up at it and settled down in the ground, no more flying. I walked around it in circles. She slowly opened her eyes when I stood in front of her. Blood dropped from her forehead and her nose. She smiled cockily at me as she drew blood out of her mouth by biting her lip harshly.

I frowned unpleased at her presence in the room,"what are you doing here little girl?" I demanded for answer. But oh no, I would expect her to answer respectfully anyways. She is just a dead girl who have I been able to imagine, I think I'm hallucinating. She continued biting her lip, but stopped when she heard my bitter voice,"Not such a nice person huh?" She questioned but knew the answer to it at the same time. I wasn't in the mood to talk so much since I still had a heavy load of problems on the left hand that needs to be taken to the right. I grumbled and looked up at her once again with daring eyes,"you may say that, but right now I'm not in the best mood possible." I said casually yet a hint of annoyance in my voice. I knew she was no good from the start, you would tell if you saw her in my high-heeled boots. She had seemed to throw something at me that was sharp, like a blade. I swiftly dodged it and threw it back to her, causing a huge line of blood to come seeping out of her right arm. She hissed at the pain and came down from the rope. She trudged towards me as I stepped back. "Are you afraid of me?" She whispered loud enough for only I to hear. I sighed with a smile,"Nope." She gritted her teeth and forced a casual smile on her face as she tried hard not to jump onto me yet. I shrugged,"suit yourself for now, but I have to get dirty work off of my hand." She glared at me,"hmph I'm not letting you go easy you know," I looked at her from the corner of my eye as I steadied myself at the side of the vent getting ready to climb up,"I don't care, go bother somebody else....but My friends, you hear me little girl?" She smirked and said a simple Ok. Before I could climb up the vents, I told Philip to climb up first and grabbed Meni. I didn't look back since I didn't want to see her face. As we climbed out of the vents and closed the door behind us,"you guys go look for the rest, but just hear me..." I started,"yes we will do whatever you say.." Meni said looking down as if I were her mistress,"..it's just one thing, B-be safe ok?" Meni looked up at me surprised as I stuttered. I shook my head and I snapped my fingers. When I did so, my outfit changed once again. It changed me back to the old saggy and bloody clothes from before, my hair once again messy. Everything turned back as I was before when I went upstairs. "You know I'm never going to change." I said with a frown as I stepped out.

I almost tripped down the stairs from running too fast. I knew I needed to find more of my friends until they were gone. As I was running down the second floor, I heard a few voices come from a room nearby. I put myself to a halt and listened attentively. The voices were so familiar indeed, I sighed in relief as I heard a deep but squeaky voice say something I couldn't hear right...its Jeff! I walked into the room that I heard the voices come from and found Jeff and the female demon. He was confused while the woman was soothing him and calming him down.

"Jeff!" I hollered.

Jeff turned his attention to the doorway and sighed in relief as he stood up. Apophis looked disappointed as Jeff walked towards me. He whispered,"Where are the others?" I snapped and whispered back,"What do you mean where are the others? Weren't they with you?" Jeff shook his head. I felt anger flood my veins as I glared at Apophis.

"Apophis..." I ordered.

She stood up,"Yes?" I sighed and I felt the anger calm down,"Where are the rest of my friends?" I questioned yet curious not angered. She half-shrugged and answered casually,"I actually don't know where your mates are at Mina, but the others do...I actually saw them but they took care of them while I had to take care of only Jeff...but Joey I couldn't find him." I raised a thin eyebrow,"What do you mean you don't know where he went?" She shook her head,"Something I couldn't trace! He didn't even hear out that door, he headed out somewhere else in not allowed to go in.." She started,"what do you mean your not allowed to go in?" Her expression was just a cold but sad stare,"it doesn't let me trace him nor anything, if I were to follow, I wouldn't know where to go because my senses are blocking me from doing it and if I go, it pushes me away so harsh." I sighed,"He must have went into a secret door that must have appeared in the other side of one of these walls, leading to a room that led him to his death, and you guys are took out since your immortal and your interfering with another demons space." She looked at me amused,"that actually makes sense to why.." I half-heartedly smiled and nodded,"The others might be in a different room anyways, Apophis come with me." She smiled happily and followed as we went to the other floors. We were already in the second floor. Again we heard more voices,"ssh they might be in here," Apophis whispered. She leaned her ear on the door and listened,"yeah they're in here." She slammed open the door with her heels and stepped in. There were the rest laying on the floor unconscious while few other demons hovered over them trying to wake them up. "Hey!" I hollered at the demons as they faced me unsurprised at my tone of voice. Nero was absolutely lost at the situation,"where's Abduxuel?" They all shook their heads and frowned,"Honestly, we don't know," Nero answered,"Honestly, even I don't know what's going on in this plan very much, just following thy orders.." I sighed and ran towards the nearest bathroom,"Apophis, is there a bucket around here?" Apophis turned to me with a bucket in her gloved hands,"yes." I grabbed the bucket without hesitation about where she got/found that bucket so fast and sudden.
