It was very easy getting onto a train that was about to depart with a federal ID. Unfortunately, SHIELD cadets don't get one until they become an agent, so Daisy had to take hers. She grabbed one of the Photostatic Veils from a box on the plane and put it on, assuming the identity of a senior agent for a while.

Two cars down from where she started to look, Daisy spotted the man in the picture that the director had sent her. She sat onto the seat across from him with a sigh, settling in.

The cadet spoke up. "Could you not sit there, please? I'm waiting on someone," Cadet Sousa said quietly.

"Someone special?" Daisy said with a teasing smile. "We're the same, you and I." She fanned herself with her left hand and let it fall over her heart. "Same town, same friends." She sighed again, sadly. "But it seems that there's a dark cloud hoverin' over you, following you wherever you go."

Her accent on 'hoverin' was deliberate. Every single line she said was from the SHIELD handbook the director gave her. Hopefully, her grandson knew that as well.

Sousa shifted in his seat, keeping stoic. "How long have you been seeing a dark cloud, ma'am?" he asked politely. "You should go to a doctor for that."

"I don't know, but a friend of ours told me about it. I didn't even see it until a few hours ago." Daisy leaned across the table separating them, reaching with her hand. "Say, do you think I can get your number? I promise I'll be nice." She handed him her phone, where he typed in his number. "Perfect. Now if you need me, I'll be in that seat over there."

She crossed over to the other side of the train with a little wink, thankful she took drama when it was offered. Daisy texted the number that Sousa entered, texting quickly. My partner is at the station. I told him I found you. He's bringing the plane around. Extraction in five when we stop for the first time.

Daisy bit her lip as she watched Sousa check his phone and read the text.

Thanks. he said. But this mission is important.

So is your life. I'm here on the Director's orders. You need to come with us or whatever you're doing won't get done anyway.

A long pause in the conversation.

Fine. Can you take me where I need to go?

Depends on where you need to go.

A cadet with two names. She lives upstate by the Academy.

Those names don't happen to be May-Coulson, would they?

I'm not at liberty to say.

Do you know what she looks like?

Yes.

Great. I can take you where you need to go as soon as I'm done my recon.

It's urgent.

So is my assignment. You'll get to see May very soon anyway.

Daisy glanced over at Sousa before getting an alert from Mack saying that they were about to stop. She sighed, getting up and going over to Sousa with a little smile. "Wanna get out of here?"

Sousa accepted her hand and took his briefcase, going to the exit.

The train stopped and Daisy led Sousa to the jet.

"Strap in, Danny Boy," she said with a grin. "Mack, let's go."

The mechanic took off quickly, flying back to the lighthouse with a bet in mind, sure that he was about to make some easy cash.
