"This is your office, mine is across the hall. Gloria, the secretary, sits at the front desk. We'll have to share her, sorry. At 9 a.m., we have the first working meeting. We're waiting for Ivan and Morris to return from the city administration. Ivan is an architect, and Morris is a civil engineer. They are passionate hockey enthusiasts. You'll work with them on the project for the new hockey arena. You'll be in charge of geodesy, of course. I hope the guys can persuade Gabriel for additional funds. If they aren't successful, I'll send you. I heard you're close to each other. The coffee machine is in the kitchen, and for everything else, ask Gloria", said Adam, then left the office.

"I heard you're close", Anna repeated to herself. "It would be best if Gabriel pissed on me right away.

Anna sat at a large oval table. Two pairs of eyes were looking at her across the table.

"You're ovulating", Morris said with a smile on his face.

"Excuse me?" Anna asked.

"Besides being attractive, you smell good, good enough to eat", Morris replied.

Before she could say anything, Adam entered the room and, without commenting, opened the window.

"Boss, no..." Ivan protested.

"Stop acting like children in kindergarten. If you can't control your instincts, I'll show you how in the ring", Adam growled. "Anna is the only engineer who applied for the job, and we desperately need her. I expect utmost professionalism from you", Adam said sternly.

"Anna, sorry for these idiots", Adam shifted his attention to her.

"We're bears. Our sense of smell is exceptionally strong. We can smell almost everything, even changes in emotions. The guys smelled that you're ovulating, and since our sexual drive is strong, they started thinking with the lower head. This won't happen again", Adam concluded.

"I don't know how to comment on this. I'll have to get used to it", Anna said.

"I like it", Morris commented. "She doesn't get easily intimidated."

"And, what's the news?" Adam looked at Ivan.

Ivan straightened in his chair, shuffled a bit, and ran his hand through his hair.

"He didn't say yes, but he didn't say either", Ivan began.

Anna looked at him questioningly.

"We have a completed conceptual project for our future 'Ice arena'. It's a building with dimensions of 30m x 60m, on a plot of 1.2 hectares. The sports complex consists of a covered ice rink with stands, with a capacity of up to 500 seats, changing rooms, a gym, and a small infirmary, including landscaping with a parking lot. The estimated value of the project is around 1.5 million euros. The city doesn't have enough funds in the budget to finance such a project. Gabriel is looking for a redesign and a change in the project to something more modest, which ultimately won't meet the city's needs", Ivan sadly said.

"Why don't we try to find investors?" Anna suggested.

"The alpha doesn't allow foreigners to invest in our land and later claim some rights", Adam said thoughtfully.

"Then it's time to find sponsors and donors. Irreversible funds. Boss, let me go to Gabriel and present my idea. I've worked on such projects before. I have experience and a few phone numbers I can call. What do we have to lose?" Anna looked at Adam seriously.

"Absolutely nothing. It's worth trying, or we start from scratch", Adam concluded.

"Gloria, please schedule a meeting with the mayor!" Anna shouted.
