The Huge Fight

Summer's P.O.V

I decided that tonight would be the night that I tell Winger my feelings. Me, Winger, and Hinata had decided to sleep next to the fire-pit and grill marshmallows tonight. I would have to wait for the perfect opportunity to confess everything. Winger went to fetch branches to put the marshmallows on. We all ate marshmallows. I asked Winger if him and I could speak in private. He agreed and we stepped faraway from the firelight. "What's up Summer?" Winger asked. "Oh boy, here goes nothing." I started. "Winger... I... I love you." Winger turned bright red. "Huh?" "I can just go now" "No Summer wait!" He said. "I like you the same way" "R-Really?" I said, surprised. "If you love me, then why do you seem so attached to Hinata? And why did Hinata kiss you last night?" Winger turned bright red again. "First of all, Hinata is just a friend. I like her as a friend not as love interests!" Winger confessed. "Then why did Hinata kiss you last night?" I repeated. "She decided to do it!" Winger exclaimed. I sighed and twitched my tail back and forth in frustration. "Ok Ok, just stop right there, Wing. I don't believe you. I men come on! It's pretty obvious that you like her!" I accused him with angry tears forming in my eyes. "Wait what? No way! I already told you that I don't like Hina like that! Summer you're wrong! Please, you've gotta trust me on this, please, Sum. Just let me explain!" He said desperately. But I didn't let him say anymore. "Save it Winger! I don't want to hear anymore, just stop lying to me!" I yelled at him, angry tears rolling down my face as I continued to glare at Winger. And without another word to him, I turned around and ran away from him, tears blurring my vision as I entered the sleep cave. Tonight hadn't gone the way that I had hoped it would, it ended with me and Winger getting into a huge fight. The next morning I slowly went outside to join the others for breakfast. I kept my gaze ahead of me as I walked over to join Aggro, Dart, and Hinata. "You ok Summer?" Hinata quiatly whispered to me so the others wouldn't overhear. I shook my head and stared down at my feet. "No I'm not." I cried. "What happened?" The lovewing quietly asked from her place beside Aggro. I just stared up at her with sad eyes. "I confessed my feelings to Winger" I told them after a brief pause. Aggro gasped and looked up from eating her fish. "Wow! Way to go girl!" Aggro's wide grin turned into a concerned frown at my downtrodden expression. "Did something happen?" She asked me. I slowly nodded. "He loves someone else!" I cried as tears began rolling down my face. "He what?!" Aggro cried. I nodded and stared sadly down at my feet. "May I talk to you in private please?" I asked the fire fury. She frowned slightly but nodded her head as the two of us headed inside the sleep cave to talk in private. "So... what really happened?" Aggro asked me with a questioning looking crossing her face. "Winger likes Hinata." "What? Did he say that out loud?" I shook my head and Aggro sighed and closed her eyes. "But if he didn't say it out loud then that means you still have a chance." "No I don't! He likes her, it's clear that he doesn't really love me." I said with a shake of my head. Just then, Leyla entered the room and Aggro glanced over at me. "You should tell her." She whispered low enough so that Leyla wouldn't hear her. "Heh? What's going on here? Are you ok Sum?" I debated about making up a lie, but upon seeing the concerned face of my best friend staring back at me, I told her everything. "But you can't just give up!" Leyla cried. "But Ley! I don't stand a chance against Hinata." I protested, my tail flicking anxiously from side-to-side as I stared up at Leyla with a hopeless look forming on my face. "What does that matter? That's not what you do, I know you, Summer. You've never give up this easily! Even if it's clear that you should. You've never given up on anything. So why start now?" Leyla's words rang through my head as I thought about what I should do. "Yeah, you're right. Thanks Leyla." I said to my friend. She smiled and gave me a tight hug. "Anything I can do to help?" "Yes, yes in fact there is something you can help me with." I told her with a confident smile slowly forming on my face. "And what might that be?" She asked me with a curious look on her face and a slight tilt of her head. "You can help me and Aggro make a plan to make Winger notice me." I told her with a happy smile forming on my face. Leyla laughed and smiled back. "You betcha. I'll do anything to help my best friend win Winger's heart." She said, pumping her fist into the air with a wide grin splitting across her face.
