Arriving at Nightdom, you were welcomed by the good vamps as they all rejoiced, celebrating your return. Mirae escorted you straight to the castle, the main hall, where your parents and Sunghoon were.

"Father... mother..." you run into their embrace as they hold you tight warmly, while Sunghoon just stays unbothered, since he regularly visited you in the human world.

"Y/N! How was life in the human world?" your mother asked.

"It was amazing, mother! In fact.. I have.. something to announce.." you said, going straight to the point as you saw Sunghoon's eyes go wide. He mouthed, "Is it about you and Heeseung?" and you nodded at him.

"You see.. I kinda.. met someone there... and..." you hesitated for a moment.

"And?" the king asked.

"We... got into a relationship. A romantic one."

"So.. you're saying that you're in a romantic relationship with a human?!" your father exclaimed. Oh boy, this isn't going to be easy at all.

"Y-yes... father."

"But darling, you do know that you're forbidden to date a human!"

"I know, mother. It's just.. I love him. Very much that.. I just.. I can't see myself with someone else other than him." you said with a desperate and sad tone.

"Daughter. You can marry him. If.. you can turn him into a vampire. Then, we can approve your relationship and the significant other is welcomed in Nightdom." your father stated the rule.

"I.. have to turn him into a vampire first..? That requires me to leave a mark on his neck..?" you questioned again, just making sure.

"Correct. Will you be able to do that, Y/N?"

You eventually came back to the human world after the agreement with your parents. Of course, you didn't want to tell Heeseung about how I should turn him into a vampire to get married. You wanted to spend more time with him, considering the fact that both of you promised to have a date at the beach this weekend. You were waiting for the right time to tell him.

The weekend arrives and it's time for you and Heeseung to spend some quality time together. You headed to the beach and had the time of your life there.

"Princess.. how is your skin not burned under the sun?" Heeseung suddenly asked with a small voice, since he still respected your privacy and didn't want other people to know about your real identity.

"There's this... special sunscreen that my aunt applied to me before coming here. It won't wash off until I come back to the kingdom." you explained.

"Woah, that is damn cool. So.. about the meeting you had.. how was it? What did your parents say? Did the reservation-making work? If it worked, I'd gladly tell my parents to get ready for the meeting too." he said, excitedly like a puppy which makes you even sadder, recalling that your parents didn't even say a thing about wanting to meet him, unless he's turned into a vampire.

"Hee... I don't know how to say this to you, but.. I... didn't get to make the reservation with them. They wouldn't.. approve our relationship unless... you're turned into a vampire." you said, looking down at the sand.

"Y/N.... if.. that really is what your parents want.. and the only way I can be with you forever, then I'll do it. Whatever it takes to turn me into one of your clan, I'd gladly do it." Heeseung took your hands and looked straight into your eyes deeply.

"Hee.. no.. I can't do it to you... it'll hurt your family.."

"No, Y/N. I'm sure they'd understand... I just wanna be with you. Please."

His desperation makes you more worried. How is he so sure? This is a very very VERY big deal.

"Are you sure, Hee? Please, have a talk with your family first about this."

"I will, Y/N. But, just to let you know, whatever they say is not going to affect me. I would still do whatever it takes to be with you, I'm serious." Heeseung stated once again.

You sighed.

"Hee.. turning you into a vampire.. means that I have to bite you.. and drink your blood. Not.. all humans can handle it. Some of them can, but mostly they can't. I'm too afraid to lose you."

"It's okay, princess. I devoted my life for you. You don't have to worry about anything. If you asked me about my dream girl, the special one that is destined to be with me, it's you. It has always been you. I'm someone that believes in fate. What fate brings me to.. and it brought me to you." he caressed my cheek softly, still maintaining a deep eye contact.

"Hee.. I need time to think and make the right decision. Can you.. give me some time? While you talk with your family too." you suggested, since you're so stressed about all this mess.

"Okay, Y/N. I will give you some time and wait for your decision. I won't push you to do something you don't want to do. Just, take your time, okay? I'll always be there for you."

Just like that, Heeseung gave you some time for yourself for a few weeks. He really didn't want to bother you as he also knew your struggles to keep up with your family rules.

You spent most of the time zoning out, pondering, crying, not wanting to go to work throughout the time.

"Y/N.. I believe in you. You can overcome this. You've gone this far, and it's not going to end just like that." Mirae hugged me.

"Mirae... I really don't know what to do... I'm very scared that I could take his life if I bit him.." you sobbed into her shoulder.

"No, you won't, Y/N... Heeseung is a strong human, he will handle it well.. just imagine it. You bit him, he then turns into a vamp and both of you can live together for eternity. How perfect is that?"

"That's just a fantasy, Mirae.. the reality isn't like that at all.." you continued sobbing that night until you fell asleep.
