Still not understanding anything, Dr. McFall began to collect the fallen things. I watched his actions for a few seconds, then slowly stood up and carefully approached, stopping behind his back. Yes, the mess turned out to be a remarkable one: scattered folders, the monitor facing down the screen, writing utensils rolling in different directions... but at least the pendulum fell silent and stopped knocking. Damn, what am I even thikning about? What does the pendulum have to do with it?!

"Excuse me, Frank, just a moment..." squatting, the therapist collected the folders in a pile and, straightening up, placed them on the table. "A few more minutes."

I nodded silently and picked up the fallen monitor from the floor, which surprisingly still worked, but cracks appeared across the screen and part of the image completely went out.

"Looks like you'll need a replacement," I stated the obvious, installing the monitor in its original place. "What the hell was that?!"

"My guess is as good as yours..." Dr. McFall honestly admitted, placing on the table an unbroken flask with a spiral that no longer rotated, and the Newton's pendulum, all the balls of which were now hanging evenly, then reached for something else under the table. "The windows are closed, it's definitely not the wind."

"Then what?" I turned to the window just in case. And they are really closed.

"I can't even imagine..." he just shook his head in confusion.

Neither can I... The objects couldn't fall on their own, there were no conditions for it. And there's also no one else in the office who could drop them off. Damn, for a moment it seemed to me that... that... that I did it. But this is complete nonsense! People can't such things. It's just insanity, God damn it...

Actually, that's where the meeting ended. I was the initiator once helping the therapist pick up all the things that had fallen from the table and advised him replace the damaged monitor. If he hurries, he'll still make it to the supply department in time. Dr. McFall found me quite adequate, but insisted on a week's rest, after which I could return to my duties. What, damn it, I didn't want at all... Well, at least he didn't write a certificate demanding that I be removed from service for a time.

Leaving the therapist's office, I went towards the stairs - Kramer asked me to come to him when this is over. This time I suddenly decided not to use the elevator, in case another power failure followed. I didn't know back then that it was all over the building... and there was no official warning not to use the elevators. But okay, I'll get there on my feet. The employees have all gone back to their places and resumed work, so I shouldn't meet too many people along the way. Can't say if they know anything, and yet...

In the wide area near the exit to the stairs in the corners on both sides of the doors there were large tubs with tall palm-shaped plants. Once making sure that no one was around at the moment, I stood directly under the CCTV so as not to be caught on camera, and focused my gaze on the right tub. But it didn't move or even sway. Surprising, right? I tried again to drop it with my gaze - of course, it didn't work, sharp waves of my hands towards the plant didn't help either. Hearing someone's voices in the corridor behind me, I waved my left hand one last time, and at that moment the door opened...

"My God!" exclaimed a thin office employee wearing a business suit and glasses, who appeared at the door. In his right hand he was holding a paper cup of coffee, judging by the smell. "Sir, you scared me... What happened?"
