So I heard you came here to hear Auntie Bee have an angry rant!
Well, pour a cup of wine (Or Martellini's) and cut up some bread!
Join me in the bitching!Okay.
So I found this on pinterest, and I couldn't agree more.
I have some things I'd like to go over with this. First of all, we're going to discuss what these ships are, then their backgrounds, then compare them. ((fanon shinogiyuu is like this too but I don't have enough energy to cover that too))--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BAKUDEKU-
Bakudeku, (I'll be using bkdk because it's easier) is a cross ship between two characters named Katsuki Bakugo and Izuku Midoriya from my hero academia. I have a strong dislike for more recent installations in MHA, and some issues with the author, but that's not what's important. Both of these characters are sixteen, and are also somehow freshmen in highschool. Izuku is the protagonist and already has a love interest. Bakugo is a central character, with no canonical love interest.
SANEGIYUU-
Sanegiyuu is a cross ship between Sanemi Shinazugawa and Giyuu Tomioka from Demon Slayer. I think that the story is well written and all of the characters make sense and have complex backstories, ,my issue being the pacing changing throughout the story, I believe Sanemi is 21, and Giyuu is also 21. Sanemi has a canonical love interest, but she died some three years before the main story takes place. Giyuu is hinted to have a love interest, but it isn't canon. Giyuu is a central character, and Sanemi is a secondary character.

BKDK-
Bakugou and Deku grew up together, living in the same neighbourhood and attending the same school. Deku always followed 'Kacchan' around with a bright smile, and Bakugou used this to his advantage and bullied Deku.
Over time, a superiority/inferiority complex grew between the two, with Bakugou thinking he was better than Deku for getting a superpower most humans have in this world, called a 'quirk'.
Apparently, because Deku wasn't double jointed (That doesn't make any sense btw, he is flexible as a goddamn ferret) he didn't develop one. This greatly added onto the throne of Bakugou's reasons for thinking he was better than Deku. He used his power to make all of the others start to bully him as well.
Over the course of what I assume is possibly ten or eleven years, Deku is pushed, stolen from, and told to kill himself. yadayada he eats the pro heros hair gets powers goes to U.A go watch the anime if your so interested, i'm not explaining it to you.
Anyways, with Deku's newfound powers and friends, I can assume he probably feels a whole lot better. His friends support his dreams with friendly competition and warmth, truly believing that they could all do their best and work toward one goal.
Well, all exept Bakugou, who continually tried to bully this poor guy. It started to wear down once he himself met (a) new people (person) he bonded with and managed to hold a somewhat nontoxic friendship with. Many seasons later, after a lot of dramatic fights revelations and that shit, Bakugou is now concerned for Izuku's wellbeing. He may have been concerned the whole time, some argue, but this is actually the worst possible and most toxic way to go about it. The two are now closer because of a shared secret (No damn spoilers) and fight in a lot of their battles together. Finally, they confront the major antagonist, and at some point during the battle, Bakugou saves deku, nearly trading his life in return.Major timeskip cause im not writing this lore theres too much. When Deku's friends save him from a nasty OCD suicidal anorexic hasn't bathed in months situation, Bakugou apologizes in tears, saying he was sorry for what he did. When all of the friends were trying to get all of the nasty grime off of him and wash him, Bakugo says literally- "get some steel wool and scrub until he bleeds" or something along the lines of that. So healthy.
This manga isn't done with publication yet, but there you have it.
A very toxic teenage romance that sure as shit would either end awesomely or terribly.
All I have to say is that deku deserves better, and I don't ship this in the slightest.SANEGIYUU-
I deadshit can't remember Sanemi's backstory, but I'm pretty sure his mother turned into a demon, tried, and achieved killing her whole family. Except Sanemi and his little brother Genya. Didn't Sanemi have to kill his own mum to save Genya or something..? No idea, along the lines of that. I do know that afterwards, he killed demons and joined the demon slayer corps, rising to Hashira swiftly.
Giyuu's parents both died when he was young, and his older sister Tsutako took care of him and raised him. However, a demon killed his sister and when he told the town, he was labelled mentally ill and sent to live with his uncle who was a doctor. Giyuu, like the sensible fuck he is, ran off to the woods before they had the chance to put him into the "Hospital" which was probably an asylum now i think about it.
Anyways he tried to live in the woods for a bit, and then Urokodaki found him and took him in.
There, he met his best friend Sabito, and they trained together for final selection.
sabito died in the final selection, and Giyuu gave up on even having emotions again.
Fast forward to when they become Hashira.
Sanemi and Giyuu didn't get along. At all. Sanemi thought that Giyuu thought he was better than everyone else, and got pissed about it. He bullied him a little bit, and Giyuu never really seemed to care. It wasn't "I'm going to hurt you" it was more like "You fucking idiot why do you keep acting like your better than us??"
fast forward again to when this specific image appears in the manga:
Giyuu was saying that he wanted to make ohagi for Sanemi and bring it to him as a gift.
He never spoke to ANYONE or had shown interest in them. this is huge. Giyuu caring this much for one guy is the gayest shit i've ever seen
!!!!BIG GIANT SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And guess who survives the final battle?
These two. At the end, they smile at each other, and end up being friends.
Or more than that?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In conclusion, Sanegiyuu is better than Bakudeku. My reasoning? because Bakugo is an abusive asshole that literally had to be chained up during an awards ceremony. Red flag, and Deku tends to be the overtrusting type. They are also both teenagers, and ew sexualizing teenagers>:(
Sanegiyuu is better because they end up happy in the end, and honestly the bullying is usually just because Giyuu doesn't know how to communicate.
That is all, thanks for coming to my ted talk.
