When Trevor walked back to the caravan he thought about what he should say to Sypha. He wanted to say that he had found Alucard but then he had to follow that up by saying that he lost him, again.
The night was getting more chilly and it gave Trevor a headache. Unsure on what to say or do, Trevors axiety grew more and more. When he reached the wagon he was stunned too see Sypha joyfully embracing Alucard.  Sypha seemed to be near tears from relief of seeing him.

"I'm so glad you're back Alucard"
The look on Syphas face was nothing but pure joy. However, unsurprisingly enough that look quickly changed to a scolding stern one in less than a heartbeat.
"Don't ever leave like that again you hear!" "I've been worried sick!"
Alucard was suprised by her reaction.  He lowered his head.
"My apologies Sypha"

Sypha couldn't stay angry at him for long though. She was too happy to have him back with them again. Suddenly a sudden noise of a  twig broke and both their heads snapped in Trevor's direction.
Trevor gulped. Alucard glared at Trevor before turning his head away and sucked in a frustrated breath.
Sypha quickly looked between the two men before fixing her look on Trevor.
She quickly came to the conclusion that they had probably caught up earlier, either that or Trevor had an abnormally large blatter.
Trevor cleared his throat awkwardly before he spoke.
"Sorry for interrupting"
The tension between the two men were heavier than ever.
"I'll see you in the morning Sypha"  Alucard took Syphas hand and kissed it gently before letting go.
"Good night Alucard"
Once Alucard was gone Sypha walked up to Trevor and quite roughly pulled his ear down. Trevor groaned at the childish motion. And his headache from being bashed into a tree earlier hadn't gone away either. Sypha made sure to look Trevor straight in the eyes before speaking. "You fix this Trevor", she then went back inside the wagon before wishing saying good night.

Time skip

The following days on the road consisted of a quietly sulking vampire and a guilty hunter. Neither of them spoke to each other and Sypha held all the conversation. She spoke about their plan once they reached the city. What they should eat for dinner and so on.
Every now and then she kept giving Trevor dirty looks, reminding him that he had to fix this everlasting tension.
In truth Trevor was growing tired of it too. He knew he had messed up and he didn't want to risk making Alucard more angry by pushing him to speak, but even he had to admit that sulking and ignoring each other wasn't going to resolve anything.

Trevor drew a big breath before exhaling loudly, a hand drawn up to scratch the back of his head, clearly uncomfortable.
"So...what do you want to eat tonight?"

Alucard didn't bother looking at him. He pretended to think about it before speaking calmly with half a smile

"Im not sure, maybe I'll find some babies to eat. After all they say baby blood is the most delicious one there is".

Trevor knew he was joking but he felt like it was more a slap to the face. How long was he going to be angry.
Maybe it was the days of endless tiptoing, or the numerous apologies to no end. But Trevor have had enough.

"And exactly how long are you planning on punishing me!"

The sudden anger in Trevor's tone caused Alucard to return it as well. Him being fed up as well with the unspoken word between them.

"When you end up on the brink of death by my hand, I might consider it."

Trevor huffed and looked away. It was impossible. He had been feeling guilty and remorseful for days. He knew he had misjudged him, betrayed him and the friendship they had  subconsciously formed. He had never been more sorry about anything in his whole life.
Trevor kept his eyes on the ground, the guilt weighing his heart. He couldn't wait to reach town and find a tavern to drink his guilt away.
For some reason he couldn’t place, Alucard hating him like this, it really was torture
