Just as not all the lords in the Vale had sided with Jon Arryn, not all the lords in the Stormlands sided with Robert Baratheon.

Word had been sent upon the next morrow that there was un uprising in the Stormlands against Robert and his lady wife and they were blocking the rest of House Baratheon's banner men from meeting the Arryn fleet in the North. It seemed no matter how much pain Summerhall had wielded, it would always be able to wield more.

They had to move fast. It had taken but a nights journey to return to Storms End and the moment they had landed, they were met with war. Non stop.

And yet it did stop, after just a day.

They were three battles , in truth, all fought on one day. Lords Grandison, Cafferen, and Fell had gathered their hosts and planned to join forces at Summerhall. From there, they would march on Storm's End. However, thanks to the informer, Robert learned of their plans and rode with his knights and squires to Summerhall, where he attacked each host in turn.

Pavarti heard only whispers, as Robert had not allowed her on the battlefield. Setting her down on a velvet pillow with guards at the door, he had her stay put. I know I cannot control you but I trust you. Now stay. He had said, pressing a kiss to her hairline.

I'm not a dog, she had stated as he brushed a curl of hers behind her ear.

No, he shook his head, dogs are far more obedient.

But she had heard the whispers. She had heard that Lord Fell had been killed by Robert in battle after proposing hat he would deliver both Robert's head and Pavarti to the King once he was done with him.

He had not kept his head.

Lord Cafferen and Grandison, as well as Lord Fell's son, Silveraxe , were taken captive and brought to when Robert's returned there after the battles. There, as both Lords Grandison and Cafferen, as well as Silveraxe would later be loyal to Robert. But not before he made them swear an oath at the feet of his lady wife as she cradled her belly.

This would be the announcement of an heir to House Baratheon.o

"Take but a moment, my lord." Pavarti said softly, pressing a kiss to Robert's throat as she rubbed his shoulders, leaning back into her touch. "There will be many more battles, but not in this bed chamber."

"I can think of a fair amount of battles fought in this bed chamber, my fierce wife." Robert said, closing his eyes as Pavarti nipped lightly at the skin between his shoulder and neck. "My viper."

"My stag." She said teasingly as Robert suddenly pulled her into his lap, a laugh escaping her lips as she fell into his arms. "Eager are we?"

"For you?" Her husband said, hiding his face in the crook of her warm neck. "Always."

They merely sat there for a moment, drinking each other in. Everyday could be their last. They were playing the game of thrones. They could die any moment. They hoped it would in each other's arms when they did.

"We are free to march North now." Robert said, his voice soft as he rested his chin on her soft shoulder, meeting her eyes in the mirror before them. Her eyes were dark in the candlelight, as though there were no whites in her eyes. "Join Jon and the Stark bannermen."
